Female Authors and Street Lit with Shan Marie

    in Entrepreneur

In todays episode of SWAG Radio, Yara Kaleemah and Shatika Turner will be discussing women who write street lit with Shan Marie.

Shan Marie was born, Shanna Marie Teasley in December of 1980 to Deacon James (deceased) and Deaconess Priscilla Teasley. Although born in Atlanta, GA she was raised in Decatur, GA (east of Atlanta) and discovered her love for writing at a very early age. Searching for a place to belong and how she could fit into the equation of life, at the tender age of nine, she wrote her first short story. Always having a vivid imagination – in addition to real life situations and circumstances – she began to put her thoughts and feelings on paper. Overwhelmed with a need to express herself – also to simply entertain others – she continued to explore the newly found passion for literature. She fell head-over-heels in love with Urban Fiction, Thrillers, Suspense and Mystery novels. By the age of seventeen, she’d completed her very first novel; needless to say, she’s grown emotionally and mentally since then, bringing her writing full circle. She is determined to provide, for her readers, Urban Street Fiction at Its Best! There is absolute pleasure that comes from within Shan Marie, to bring characters to life that have the power to grab readers and pull them into their world. The joy that the art of writing brings her seems to have no end and pushes her to work hard, network and stay true to who she is as an author.

As a black man, It'd be quite foolish of me to sit around and wait for someone else to do this.

I don't know a lot of guys in the city I live in, but online, I have some homeboys who aren't afraid to challenge systemic oppression and talk loudly and publicliy about Misogynoir.

We need to talk about intraracial rape culture.
    Body policing.
    Hair policing.
    Street harassment.
    and much much more.

This can not and will not be the only event and discusison panel.
This can not and will not be the only event.

    We'll 2 live chatrooms.
One will be flash based at the audio link and one will be in a facebook comment section when the live link is posted this coming Saturday.

Misogynoir Exposed is a subsidiary of Wine Cellar Entertainment and we appreciate you checking us out.

    in Politics Progressive

I'm Hillary the eighth, I am
Hillary the eighth, I am, I am
I got harassed by the Bernie next door
He's been steam-rolling me seven times before

And every time it was Bernie
He wouldn't pick on Fiorina or Sarah Palin
He's comin' @ me for the 8th time, that Bernie
    I'm Bernie's eighth, that I am

Second verse, same as the first

I'm Hillary the eighth, I am
Hillary the eighth, I am, I am
I got harassed by the Bernie next door
He's been steam-rolling me seven times before

And every time it was Bernie
He wouldn't pick on Fiorina or Sarah Palin
He's comin' @ me for the 8th time, that Bernie
    I'm Bernie's eighth, that I am

Third Verse Is Even More PERVERSE!

I'm Hillary the eighth, I am
Hillary the eight, I am, I am
I got smacked by the Bernie next door
He's been sleaze-balling me seven times before

And every time it was Bernie
He wouldn't come on to Pelosi or Barbara Boxer
He's loadin' up on me for the 8th time, that Evil Ernie
    I'm Ernie's the eighth, that I am
