Jeff Lieberman wonders about the questions we all asked as 4-year-olds, but seem to have forgotten as adults. Who are we? How did we get here? Tune in as Sister Jenna is joined by Jeff Lieberman on the America Meditating Radio Show for a conversation about consciousness, science and spirituality.
Jeff Lieberman explores the connections between the arts, sciences, education, creativity, and consciousness. He hosted "Time Warp" on the Discovery Channel, reminding us of how little our senses detect and understand about reality. He composes music in the duo Knolls and shows sculptures internationally, exploring our unseen interconnectedness and interdependence. Having finished four degrees at MIT (Physics, Math, Mechanical Engineering, Media Arts + Sciences), he is exploring how the evolution of consciousness can cease human suffering. In this episode Bob Kirkconnell, author of American Heart of Darkness, will discuss America's biggest and oldest problem of "Racism in America". If there ever has been an opportune time to abolish slavery, it was during and after the Revolutionary War. And yet it survived. Even after the Civil War, a horrific event that killed more Americans than any other war, what did survive was racism. Despite excellent legislation against racism, it morphed into what is today called "Jim Crow," a de facto form of slavery. America tried again in the '60s and '70s with the civil rights movement that resulted in legislation that struck down Jim Crow. The Civil Rights Act of 1964, The Voting Rights Act, and many others made Jim Crow a thing of the past, but this system was replaced again with what we have today which is "The Prison Industrial Complex." Will this ever end, and why won’t it go away?
This brings up some conclusions and also questions:
What is the Prison Industrial Complex and what effect does it have?
Why is legislation ineffective against racism?
Why cannot America leave its racist past behind?
What would replace the Prison Industrial Complex if it was legislated out of existence?
What needs to be done to solve this cancer that has been with America from the very start?

An amazing success story of my client, the networking Queen.
A usual we had several butt kicking sessions and she fought me most of the time but the sweet taste of success lingers and she is currently going through my leverage program, the second level of my entrepreneur coaching series.
Instead of us discussing her journey I have chosen to share one strategy we worked on for your benefit. In a way it is a follow up to my previous eZine.
Practice this strategy and share your success with me by emailing me firstname.lastname@example.org
I would love to hear your story.
Using Civil Rights Records to Find The Story In Your Community and Family
Please join genealogist and family historian Antoinette Harrell for a discussion of how and why researchers will want to explore the Civil Rights records to find relatives that were engaged in the Civil Rights movement throughout the South. Ms. Harrell will use a case example of Mr. Herbert Lee a Civil Rights leader from Amite County, Mississippi to illustrate what was documented in Federal Records about him.
Antoinette Harrell, a renowned genealogist, author and blogger whose genealogical research has been featured on Nightline News, People Magazine and many other national and international public media. Harrell is the host and producer of Nurturing Our Roots Television and Nurturing Our Roots Blog Talk Radio and was appointed Honorary Attorney General in the State of Louisiana in 2003 for her studies in genealogy. She is also one of the recipients of the ASLAH Award in 2013 for her outstanding services as a humanitarian activist and film maker and has been featured in “Chronicle On Civil Rights” & Civil Rights History from the Ground Up: Local Struggles a National Movement.
The Department of Justice Records are available under the Civil Rights Division at the National Archives.

The Division enforces federal statutes prohibiting discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, disability, religion, familial status and national origin.
