Friday at 11 AM we will talk Guerilla Marketing with Steve Dubin, president of Plymouth, MA based PR Works.
Steve Dubin knows the “news” business. Starting his newspaper career by covering the Boston Celtics for the New Bedford Standard Times, Steve and Larry Bird shared rookie years. From there Steve progressed to editing and marketing positions in several publishing companies, including Mariner Newspapers.
He understands that “news” has to be a win-win. Stories must be useful and interesting to an editor’s primary audience. Free exposure is only available to those who recognize news angles, package news in a digestible form, and take care of all the details of story placement – from arranging interviews to providing appropriate visuals.
Steve is the founding president of the South Shore Ad Club and founding director of The Leads Network, a business-to-business lead generation group. He is an active member of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce’s communications committee, as well as the Massachusetts Extended Care Federation’s communication committee. He is on the steering committee of the Elderpreneur of the Year Program, which recognizes the innovations of age 55+ people and on the Board of Directors of the University of Massachusetts/Boston School of Nursing Friends.
He has presented seminars on various marketing topics for the University of Massachusetts/Dartmouth; Metro South Chamber of Commerce; New England Healthcare Assembly; and South Shore Women’s Business Network.
Reach Steve at PR Works, 18 Main Street, Extension, Suite 409; Brewster Park Building (Café Strega is below); Plymouth, MA 02360

On this episode of Talking In Circles we discuss the life and career of the late Steve Byrnes. Byrnes, the former NASCAR Broadcaster lost his life due to a battle with cancer on Tuesday.
Also NASCAR has said they are open to an exemption for injured driver Kyle Busch. Busch has been hurt since his opening week accident at Daytona International Speedway. Is this the right decision?
David Ragan appears to be headed to the No. 55 at Kansas Speedway in two weeks. Can Ragan make Chase in this ride?
Also NASCAR Whelen Modified Tommy Barrett, Jr was arrested and charged with a DUI. That led his Our Motorsports team to suspend him from the race at Stafford Speedway this weekend. Was this the right move by the team? Or another Kurt Busch situation.
Mike Wallace had triple bypass surgery last week meaning he will not race in next weekend's NASCAR Xfinity Series race. He will be replaced by his brother Kenny Wallace in the No.26 JGL Racing Toyota.
Johanna Long will run the No. 03 this weekend at Richmond. How will she do?
RCR Appeal. What's taking so long?

The generosity and philanthropy of Helene Galen has helped to sustain many a nonprofit organization in our desert communities, including Desert AIDS Project. Although one of the ways she’s supported D.A.P. is through her long-standing sponsorship of one of the awards given at the annual Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards, on February 7th, it was Ms. Galen receiving the 100 Women Award for 2015.
Nicholas Snow (with guest co-host Kristin Johnson) is thrilled to present a seven-part comprehensive series documenting the 2015 Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards held February 9th at the Palm Springs Convention Center, raising $1.3 million for direct client services at Desert AIDS Project. Special thanks to the gala producer Momentous Events for helping us secure the audio.

On Bill Martinez Live for today in the last half hour at 10:33 we will interview five ex gays/lesbians. Those who claim that one is "born that way" can try to tell that to Robin who was raped by a babysitter and who is outraged that states have banned reparative therapy. Chris Doyle, Jayson Graves and others will tell their stories.
Welcome to Bill Martinez Live, hosted by an unapologetic AMERICAN U.S. Marine of Mexican descent who knows why people come to America but demands that immigrants come through the front door and that the rule of law be respected. Bill Martinez Live waves just one flag and has no use for hyphenated hearts torn between the Stars and Stripes and some other foreign banner.
Republicans & Democrats have lost a grasp on life, liberty and pursuit of happiness for America. Bill Martinez Live helps us regain it. Listen in to the show to hear every facet of the issues but keep your eye on God and the exceptionalism to which he has urged on America and its people. Our nation is at a crossroads but remember your solemn birthright fellow Americans as "We the People". Our regular guests include former New York Lt. Governor Betsy McCaughey; Steve Evans the Movie Guy; Samantha Mills who features spectacularly touching stories from the internet; Kevin "Coach" Collins-a NY City retired Honor Legion cop with a doctorate in Public Administration and a post doctoral degree is BS detection and Jen Horn on cultural happenings! Would YOU like to be a rapid fire guest? Contact my producer Bill McIntosh at 305-396-2806 and leave a message if he doesnt pick up or email a 30 word intro of yourself and send us your land and cell phone numbers (if you have both) to: firstname.lastname@example.org

Joseph Valerio - Producer of The Sports Reporters on ESPN; author of Second to None (The Relentless Drive and Impossible Dream of the Super Bowl Bills) - by Triumph Books
In Second to None, author Joe Valerio tells the incredible story of the Buffalo Bills: the perpetual almost-champions and their indomitable fans. The Bills' incredible skill and teamwork on the field was matched only by their single-minded determination as, in the four years spanning 1991 to 1994, the team won four consecutive conference championships, and lost four consecutive Super Bowls. The peaks and nadirs of their record reflect a fascinatingly dynamic, uneven, and—at times—uncontrollable array of talents. Valerio renders in sharp detail how the Bills' unique culture was formed by an unlikely ecosystem of world-class athletes hunkered down in bleak western New York, far away from the celebrity playgrounds of other pro teams. Meticulously researched and carefully crafted, this one-of-a-kind look inside the Super Bowl-era Buffalo Bills is based on extensive interviews with the key players, coaches, and management, including Hall of Famers Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Bruce Smith, as well as coach Marv Levy, general manager Bill Polian, and many others, including players and coaches from opposing teams, and the reporters who covered them.
Barry Garelick is first up to talk about his new book regrarding how Math is being taught in the 21st Century and how Common Core is setting students behind.
