As wonderful as this was, it also put a strain on the apostles in the form of caring for the disciples' real needs. This called for organization and duties assignment. The apostles would fill one roll while other men would see the the growing needs within the family.
One of the men chosen to meet those needs was Stephen. He was a good man, full of the Spirit and of wisdom. Unfortunately, those sterling character traits got him into deep trouble with the law! As his story unfolds we can only stand in awe of the conviction and love that permeated and dominated his heart.

After sweeping the Milwaukee Brewers, the Cubs are now locked in a tight battle race for the 2nd Wild Card spot. The upcoming stretch is a crucial one as they take on the Pirates, who currently hold the 1st Wild Card, before a 4-game series at home against the Giants who are just 1/2 game back of the Cubs in the Wild Card race.
