    Anthony award winner Lori Rader-Day joins Authors on the Air LIVE

    Lori Rader-Day's debut The Black Hour received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly, Booklist, and Library Journal and was a finalist for the Mary Higgins Clark Award. Her new mystery, Little Pretty Things, was released in July. Born and raised in central Indiana, she now lives with her husband and dog in Chicago. Her fiction has appeared in Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine, Time Out Chicago, The Madison Review, and others. Lori is a member of Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, and International Thriller Writers. Rader-Day’s debut mystery, The Black Hour, won the 2014 Anthony Award for Best First Novel and was a finalist for the Mary Higgins Clark Award. Idris has 32 years of progressive experience in administrative and supervisory capacities. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Administration and is a graduate of NRPA Pacific Marketing & Revenue Sources Management School.


    Idris was recently selected for the 2015 California Park & Recreation Society Service Award of Excellence and Fellowship/Hall of Fame Recipient! This is the highest award achievable for a professional in the Parks and Recreation field in the State and this is the first time an employee of the City of Manhattan Beach has been chosen for this honor. The awards ceremony will take place on March 11 at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento. In addition, Idris is also celebrating his 30 year work anniversary in March.

    Film critics Nell Minow, Mack Bates and Geoff Roberts drop by to discuss the latest Oscar nominations as well as to predict winners in six key categories: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress. The 88th Annual Academy Award nominations are scheduled to be announced on January 14, and the winners will be revealed on February 28. All three critics share a deep interest in the Oscars each year, and they really know their movie stuff!


    Nell, the famous Movie Mom, writes film commentary for Belief.net and is the author of several fascinating film-related books. Born in Toronto, Geoff has been fortunate to be a guest on a variety of Canadian and American radio and TV programs.
