    He Wants It All

    in Christianity

You've seen or heard of the poker competitions on national TV, where you can hear a pin drop, as masterminds play this mind game of "call my bluff if you can". Then out of no where one player decides to say those bold words "Im going all in". And yes, there's great risk involved for sure, not knowing what to expect next they could have very well lost it all. With God the stakes are much higher, give our all to him and watch him work or give little and play it safe with little or no impact for the kingdom. Along with that is a hard and changeless heart that only seeks to gratify the flesh and its desires rather than God. We are left wandering what freedom from sin looks like because of our failure to turn over every issue, problem addiction or lust deep in our hearts and minds. What is the one area that God is asking you to turn over to Him? Is there any part of your life your not surrendering? We all at times are tempted to give God just a little or just enough to get by. The abundant life in Christ is there for all who will give their heart, soul, mind and strength to the Lord and be used to do only what He knows your capable of when we die to self and rest in Him.

    SPEAK BLESSINGS NOT CURSES

    in Relationships

We will be discussing some personal issues relating to our marriage and how we had to learn how to use a Godly language of exalting one another instead of cursing one another. In order to operate in love, we have to delve into the benefits of what love is, and acknowledge when our behavior exemplifies what love is not.

2 Timothy 2:14-16 King James Version

14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

    Get to know Furtesha Carter…
Furtesha Carter is a true “Nashvillian” born and raised. Growing up in Nashville allowed her to inherit a unique appreciation for southern hospitality. Furtesha quotes, “Without God, family and friends what do you have in life? In my world, those are my three focuses.”Whether it be in real estate or volunteer programs, she finds great joy in using the talents God has provided her in order to help people. Furtesha is the proud parent of a teenage daughter and son and is called Momma to many teenagers through Nashville’s Communityfoster care system. She is the founder of a non-profit mentoring program, Sister 2 Sistah that caters to middle-school age girls throughout the Nashville and surrounding communities. Because the majority of her family resides within the Nashville area, Furtesha has been allowed to spend spring/summers barbecuing and fall/winters entertaining in her home with family and friends which she truly enjoys.
Furtesha attended Daymar Institute for Accounting and is attending Bethel University for Business Management. Her skill set has provided her vocational opportunities from church secretary to accountant. Her personality has allowed her to be an affective cheerleading coach, PTO president, and community volunteer. But her passion to connect community and family drives her efforts to serve as your metro council representative for District 13.
