About Scott Benner
I'm a stay-at-home dad, a husband, a storyteller, a type I diabetes advocate and an author. I love my family, baseball and sitting in a dark movie theater with my wife Kelly and our children, Cole and Arden.
I've always loved to tell stories but I didn't begin to put the words I felt into written form until I started my blog 'Arden's Day' on August 16, 2007. Five years later I was writing my first book, "Life Is Short, Laundry Is Eternal'.
'Arden's Day' is a look at my daughter's life with type I diabetes from my perspective. A raw, honest reflection of what life is like when you live everyday with a chronic illness. Type I diabetes advocacy has been my passion since I learned how powerful and renewing sharing and community can be to people that live with a chronic illness.
'Life Is Short, Laundry Is Eternal' is my attempt to bring both men and women a look at the other side of their relationship. I began a new life as a stay-at-home dad in 2000 after our first child was born and my experiences have shown me aspects of family life that I never imagined existed.

In this episode one of the Central PA Work at Home Podcast, Charles Terrence Harper discusses your starting point for determining what you have to offer. This is typically called finding a niche market. There is plenty of opportunity for those who want to offer content based information products on both the local and international level.
The key is to determine where you offer the most value. Of course, you'll want to work in an area where you have a considerable level of passion. But even if you are passionate, if people don't value what you're offering, you won't be in a business; you will be in the news business.
Loan Modification Negligence
When you are trying to fight for your home in the loss mitigation loan modification process, it is no laughing matter. You are submitting the documents being requested and hoping you will not be "dual tracked" by your loan servicer who is usually servicing your loan on behalf of an often unkown securitized loan trustee, and you wonder if you will get a fair shake, or a real opportunity to save your home. This real estate podcast talks about what happens when your loan servicer is negligent in handling or reviewing your completed loan modification application.
One of the legal cases every homeowner should have in their foreclosure prevention toolbox is the case of Alvarez v. BAC Home Loans, LP (Bank of America). Some of the common things that can go wrong when you submit your financial documents to be consdiered for a loan mod are:
1. False statements by the loan servicer's representative
2. Claiming your documents were never received ("missing tax returns" and "rental agreements" are two common ones)
3. Denying you based upon consideration of false information (ex. your income or property value)
4. Lies about postponing your foreclosure sale
There are other types of things that can wrong in the loss mitigation department of large loan servicers such as Nationstar, Ocwen, Wells Fargo, Citimortage, and Bank of America, but this Alvarez case is a very important case that discussed "duty" and "damages" in regard to the tort of negligence against a loan servicer. Give this real estate podcast a listen with Attorney Steve explaining and defining these important and complex legal topics.
Tonights show is a recap of my vacation. It was a vacation that turned into mourning my grandmother Audrey Mae. HOWEVER I am back to my usual low tolerance for B.S. and my love for champagne and coffee. Tune in to see what happened with Boo Boo Kitty as well as how MY family structure has changed during all of this.

There was plenty of drama when the lights went down at the Formula One Grand Prix in Bahrain. The night race started with Mercedes pole sitter and champion, Lewis Hamilton out front. Hamilton was followed by Ferrari drivers Sebastian Vettel and teammate, Kimi Raikkonen, who worked together to block Mercedes second driver, Nico Rosberg, from advancing from third to second, by pushing him back to fourth. A determined Rosberg was not going to settle for third or fourth, so, in lap nine, Rosberg overtook Raikkonen and Vettel to claim second, while Hamilton remained the leader of the pack.
In lap 35 when Rosberg emerged from a pit stop, Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel leap frogged and got out in front, but could not stay there. Meanwhile, both Toro Rosso drivers Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz Jr. were retired.
By lap 47, it was Hamilton, Rosberg, Raikkonen, Bottas and Vettel in the top five. Going into the final 7 laps, there was a fierce battle between Nico Rosberg and Kimi Raikkonen for second. Moving into lap 56 Raikkonen overtook Rosberg and claimed second, pushing Rosberg into third. On the podium after the race, Raikkonen was disappointed that he had to settle for second, while fans wondered out loud if he was deluding himself into thinking he could have caught up with, and overtaken Hamilton, in the unstoppable Mercedes power unit.
Crossing the finish line after the top three was Valtteri Bottas in fourth, Sebastian Vettel fifth, and Daniel Ricciardo who, barely made it across the finish line amidst a huge cloud of smoke bellowing from the back of his car.
Late Breaking News: The F1 race in Monza may be hanging in the wings. Like Germany, Monza has money problems. The German automotive industry VW-Audi, did a study that showed tremendous support for an Audi F1 team, but, they dislike Bernie Egglestone so much, they refused to enter F1 as long as he is in control.
