A MORE SURE WORD OF PROPHECY

    in Christianity

If thou clothe the naked, and bring the poor . . . to thy house, and deal thy bread to the hungry, "then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily." Doing good is an excellent remedy for disease.

The pleasure of doing good to others imparts a glow to the feelings which flashes through the nerves, quickens the circulation of the blood, and induces mental and physical health.

Pure and undefiled religion is not a sentiment, but the doing of works of mercy and love. This religion is necessary to health and happiness. It enters the polluted soul temple, and with a scourge drives out the sinful intruders. Taking the throne, it consecrates all by its presence, illuminating the heart....It opens the windows of the soul heavenward, letting in the sunshine of God's love. With it comes serenity and composure. Physical, mental, and moral strength increase, because the atmosphere of heaven, as a living, active agency, fills the soul.

8-26-15-Dr. Hildy: Dr. Vallianatos, POISON SPRING; Carol Van Strum, BITTER FOG

    in Environment

    Wednesday, August 26, 2015, 1:00-3:00PM Pacific
    (2:00-4:00pm Mountain; 3:00-5:00pm Central; 4:00-6:00pm Eastern)

In the 1st hour, Dr. Evaggelos Vallianatos will share with Dr. Hildy about his book Poison Spring which documents the EPA's corruption and misuse of science and public trust. E. G. Vallianatos, who saw the EPA from the inside for more than two decades with rising dismay, reveals in Poison Spring how the agency has allowed our lands and waters to be poisoned with more toxic chemicals than ever. No one who cares for the natural world, or for the health of future generations, can ignore this powerful exposé.

In the 2nd hour Dr. Hildy will welcome Carol Van Strum  author, A Bitter Fog: Herbicides and Human Rights, a true story of people living in the forests of Oregon fighting to protect their families and environment from Agent Orange poisons sprayed on them from the air. A Bitter Fog puts human faces on those who defied profiteering corporations and indifferent government agencies.

Black American Woman Entrepreneur- Cassandra Bell-Gash

    in Professional

Black Americans have struggled to make a way out of no way for centuries. Faced with rampant racism and discrimination, industrious Black Americans  do for self, launching their own businesses. The number of businesses owned by Black American women grew 322% since 1997, making black females the fastest growing group of entrepreneurs in the United States. Women now own 30% of all businesses in the U.S., accounting for some 9.4 million firms. And Black American women control 14% of these companies, or an estimated 1.3 million businesses. The growth in women-owned firms may be due to the lack of fair pay, fair promotion, and family-friendly policies found in corporate America. Women of color are impacted more significantly by all of the negative factors that women face.

The highest concentrations of black woman-owned businesses are in Georgia, Maryland, and Illinois, but Black American women are launching companies in growing numbers across the country. Cassandra Bell-Gash launched a Medicaid waiver care in North Carolina in 2003 and grew the business into a million-dollar venture only to get sabotaged by bureaucratic mumbo-gumbo that delayed payments and interfered with client services forcing her to close in 2008. No untoward findings were made, but the interference caused Ms. Bell-Gash to close her business and regroup. Bell-Gash is unusual among entrepreneurs of any race or gender in that she employed more than just herself. Black American Women have an incredibly steep incline trying to do two things: one is just to be successful, and the other is to create wealth. Cassandra Bell-Gash relaunched her company, Life Provisions,Inc. (LPI) this Spring 2015 saying she was "delayed, but not detered".

tsuNomination with Danielle Paccione and Bill Bachman - August 25,2015

    in Paranormal

LIVE tonight on tsuNomination your hosts Danielle Paccione and Bill Bachman bring you on a haunted tour of the Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells, TX!

The grand Baker Hotel is located on the corner of a one-way westbound street, East Hubbard Street, and NE 1st Street. You can't miss The Baker Hotel building, as it towers above everything else in all its glory. Mineral Wells is just west of Fort Worth.

This towering, classic, stone brick building, decorated with lovely carvings, is 14 stories high, and was built to last in 1929, by visionary hotel developer, T.B. Baker. Baker came up with the idea of building a massive hotel near a mineral spring, at the cost of $1,250,000.00, which was quite a chunk of change for the time. Known as the Grand Old Lady, her building design was influenced by the Art Deco style, and built by the gifted structural engineer Wyatt Hendrick, modeled after Hendrick's other resort hotel, the Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs, Arkansas. There were three different staircases: One for the well-to-do guests, one for their servants and yet another staircase for those who didn't want to be seen.

Just because The Baker Hotel is closed to the living, doesn't mean it is empty of activity. It is reported that there are at least 49 spirits who make The Baker Hotel their home. The Baker Hotel was known to be haunted, long before it closed its doors.
