Regular cast member and attorney Jeff Frazier who years ago worked on the infamous Tulia case in Texas in which one of every three black members of the community were arrested and jailed by a multi-jurisdictional task force. Jeff worked with the ACLU and others to get the people out of jail and to disband the task forces around the state. He will discuss the recent appointment of Vanita Gupta to head the civil rights division of the Department of Justice and the role she played in helping to correct the injustice in Tulia, Texas, and describe what he has learned about the task forces in Michigan, and what actions may possibly be taken, as a result. Jeff has been working with Komorn Law and Michigan Moms United on these issues.
And, Hunter Holliman Chief of Staff for the national organization Americans for Safe Access, the country’s leading medical cannabis organization. Hunter will discuss ASA's perspective on upcoming elections, and the purpose of the web site votemedicalmarijuana.org ASA, also, recently posted information from the California Narcotic Officers Association to help demonstrate and expose "more unsavory ways police attempt to discredit and imprison qualified medical cannabis patients."

Brought to you live from University of Redlands and the debate between Democrat Pete Aguilar and Republican Paul Chabot for the 31st California Congressional District. Aguilar has been endorsed by the Marijuana Policy Project - Chabot earns his living as a professional drug warrior.
This is an epic battle between a progressive Democrat and a right wing Republican in a seat that is being hotly contested by both parties. The debate starts at 7 p.m. but we will interview people coming to the debate.
In addition to live interviews with debate attendees, guests for the show include Jason Elassner from Yucca Valley and the initiative that is now being circulated in this small desert town to rescind the current ban on medical marijuana dispensaries and put in place an ordinance that will license and regulate a limited number. With an election for city council going on right now, the initiative has become a focal point in the election. It's not exactly tearing the town apart, but there are strong opinions on both sides.
OC NORML is sponsoring a 420 Bingo Party for the the Prisoner Project which is dedicated to helping people serving life sentences in prison for marijuana. Cheri Sicard will speak about Paul Free who is serving a LIFE SENTENCE for a nonviolent marijuana offense he did not commit. With arguably the nation's top wrongful conviction attorney interested in his case, he needs $3,000 to get started.
That's what the 420 Bingo Party is going to do - raise that money for Paul. Learn what a 420 Bingo Party is all about and if you are in the neighborhood on Sat. Oct. 25, you can join on in.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has not set any such standards, acknowledging that “it is difficult to establish a relationship between a person’s THC blood or plasma concentration and performance impairing effects.” The research that has been done generally shows the effects of marijuana to act as a relaxant. While alcohol has a direct influence on violent behavior, marijuana does not increase the odds of any type of aggression, Several experts said they were surprised by the notation of impairment in the toxicology report because of complicating factors in measuring the drug. It is unclear whether the drug tests were performed on whole blood or plasma, which can produce different results from the same sample. The concentration of the drug in plasma will measure about twice as high as the concentration in whole blood, said Alfred Staubus of the Ohio State University College of Pharmacy.ST Louis Post

Rez and Andy hit the streets in Washington state where they're making history as one of the only places in the world where you can buy marijuana legally.
They'll talk to one of the owners of the first Spokane Marijuana shop to open, Green Leaf, and find out how it all went. They'll also talk to the first man who purchased marijuana and then get fired, the owners of what everyone's calling the city's first "Bed and Bud"--the 1899 House, a medical doctor who will explain what it means to "Drive high, get a DUI!", the owner of Cinder Marijuana Shop in Spokane Valley who says his store is being blocked from opening, and lots of live opinions from the streets.
Will it be a good thing for Washington? Should the rest of the country do the same? Will the federal government eventually come in and close it down? Will the legal prices be too high for consumers? "Let's Talk about it!"
Call in and talk about legalized marijuana.

"When you get rid of a toxic habit in your life, you leave room for something beautiful to take its place." ~ Susan Shapiro, co-author, "Unhooked: How to Quit Anything"
Addiction. When you hear that word, what comes to mind? Alcoholism. Substance abuse. Gambling. These are the hard core vices that usually get attention. But what about the "soft habits" you think are not really all tha bad. Habits that steal just as much of your time, money, focus, and even your health. Habits like overexercising, too much social media, or drinking diet soda. If you've been overdoing it, or you just can't seem to stop doing it, it's a problem - one that you can't afford to ignore.
Tune in as we chat with Dr. Frederick Woolverton, Ph.D., Founder & Director of The Village Institute for Psychotherapy, and co-author of the book, Unhooked: How To Quit Anything. Find out how he helped co-author, Susan Shapiro, end her long-term addictions to cigarettes, alcohol, and marijuana.
