She will also discuss her other acting experience and projects. Her film credits include: Dead Broke, Starving Hysterical Naked, Almost in Love, The Better Man, Chaos Theory, Area Q, and Locked in a Garage Band. However, Leslie is probably best known for creating and starring in Miracle in Rwanda, a one-woman live show based on the life of Immaculée Ilibagiza, who survived the Rwandan genocide in 1994. This talented actress also played Dorothy Dandridge in another one-woman show titled Yesterday Came Too Soon at the National Black Theatre in Harlem.
Leslie’s role in With Child is her first appearance as a lead in a feature film. This unique movie tells the touching story of a widowed construction worker trying to rebuild his life as a single dad while struggling with the romantic advances of his eccentric new employer (played by Leslie). "When I read the script, I thought it would be a good fit for my first film as lead producer," Leslie explains. "I love the message of the film: What we choose now affects our past.”
