The Summer of 1984 was an eventful 3 months for new Commissioner David Stern and the NBA; on the heels of an epic 7-game Finals slugfest between Larry Bird’s World Champion Boston Celtics and Magic Johnson’s Los Angeles Lakers, the first of 3 heavyweight bouts in the Decade, the NBA Draft was held in New York City; the Draft would introduce fans to 4 future Hall of Famers who would each write their own chapter in the NBA’s History Books. There was Forward Charles Barkley of Auburn, the rowdy, raucous “Round Mound of Rebound”, his polar opposite, little-known Guard John Stockton of Gonzaga, the majestic Nigerian Center and Number One pick  Akeem “The Dream” Olajuwon from the University of Houston, and the electric (Cue Chicago Bulls Public Address Announcer …”6 foot 6 Guard from North KAR-O-LINA!”)…Michael Jeffrey Jordan. These next-level players would secure the NBA’s rapidly growing stature as the Sport of the Future, with Bird and Magic now at the peak of their powers.  Jordan, Georgetown Center Patrick Ewing and 10 of College Basketball’s best would represent USA Basketball in the 1984 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles, led by iconic and infamous Coach Bobby Knight of Indiana University. Knight, known lovingly as a “Raving Maniac” by his players brought his no-nonsense, drill-sergeant mentality to the USA program and molded yet another Gold Medal Winner. The agony and ecstacy of the Draft process, with its Franchise-changing consequences were never more evident than the summer of ’84.

Isa 5:18  Woe on them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin with a cart rope:  19  That say, Let Him make speed, and hasten His work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!  20  Woe on them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!  21 Woe on them who are wise in their own eyes, prudent in their own sight!  22  Woe on them that mightily drink wine, strong to mix strong drink: 23 Who justify the wicked for bribes, to take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!  24 So as the fire devours stubble, flame consumes chaff, so their root shall be rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have rejected the LAW of the LORD of hosts, and despised the WORD of the Holy One of ISRAEL!  25 So is the anger of the LORD kindled against HIS people, and HE has stretched forth HIS hand against them, and smote them.  The hills then tremble as carcases are torn in midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but HIS hand is stretched out still. 26  And HE will lift up an ENSIGN to a great nation far away, and will whistle unto them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:

Online Dating VS Meeting Naturally Offline: Which is better?

    in Relationships

Tonight on Timna UnCut we will  have a conversation around Dating Online Versus Dating Offline.

Last week Mawuli, Timna's CoHost - Challenge the listening Audience and Timna on why Online dating does not yeild the best results in regards to getting a match. Timna was challenging Mawuli's Thought process and recommended her Brother Ulik join the show to discuss his Online Dating Experience.

Let's see if Mawuli and other people change their view points or open their minds to Online Dating.

This conversation is sure to get heated! I know I will learn a thing or two about meeting Offline versus Online.

    I wonder......

Is it better to meet someone ONLINE because of the Society and the need for quick information?

Are we too quick to meet people ONLINE when there are potential suitors OFFLINE that we are neglecting because of a lack of patience?

Is Online dating preventing us from getting out of our comfort zone and talking to people around us?

How can we achieve the results of getting a match in other ways? (MatchMaking Agency, Speed Dating, Meeting at work, Meeting at an event of interest, etc)

Let's Talk for Real About Online Dating VS Offline Dating!

ISIS Stampedes Idiot America over a Cliff -- AGAIN!

    in Politics Progressive

We already discussed the marketing of ISIS as a powerful and incredibly brutal force. And we saw that behind it is the CIA and its "private contractors" such as Israeli Mossad agent Rita Katz' SITE Intelligence Group. This was virtually a total fabrication, but the question was -- why? Why fabricate beheadings and the burning of a Jordanian pilot and on and on...? What was the purpose? At the time, the possibilities seemed implausible, but the picture is now coming into focus. Let's take a look at the immediate reactions of Europe and the United States:

The destruction of the European Union started instantaneously.
Europeans and Americans (again) turned violently against Moslems, Middle Easterners, and Africans.
Western powers bombed (again) targets in the Middle East.
Borders and immigration began closing at the speed of light!
Once again, the American Eagle has been turned into a stapeding flock of mindless, terrified sheep running off a cliff.

Here we go again, idiot America gets played like a country fiddle!   In the next two hours, Bob, author of American Heart of Darkness, will explore these issues! Hey give him a call.

How Are We to Inject Gratitude into the Spiritual Void Thanksgiving Has Become?

    in Spirituality

How grateful and exicted are turkeys for Thanksgiving to you think? :)...

We've rather largely lost our way, bit by bit, with a myopic fascination with food as the defining moment of what now consititues our Thanksgiving haven't we?

But, this deficit of heart is beginning to take its toll in the sensibilites of more and more people as they reflect how unfilling this holiday can end up being at the end of the day when our guests can't leave quickly enough after the food has been eaten.

I've been in some homes where the feast is more like an in-home fast food feast and in a blink of the eye the cooks are abandoned, the relationship time together goes up in a puff of tail--pipe smoke as the cars speed away to the malls. Anti-climatic, indeed!

Days of preparation. Feasting. And everyone sticking their face into their cell phones and rushing off to the nearest and biggest sale of their desires for getting something for a deal. And there the chefs and company experience an anticlimatic event.

The heart of visiting and sharing our company, stories, and being drifts away from the hearth of our homes and enters the competition for goods. Is that becomeing an unappealing feeling-experience for you... more empty, dissapointing, useless than something to celebrate and something more along the lines of a hefty investment of time with a disproprtionate return (ROI sucks)?

When the preparation far outweighs the event, it fails to excite and satisfy in the same deligthful manner. Let's visit a warm hearth together and consider ways we can return our families to a Thanksgiving that feeds our belly and our Souls!

Join us, Sharon Quinn and Will Gable

The NWCR Radio Show #327 - This weeks' highlights in America

    in Politics Conservative

The nation's left is moving at break neck speed to destroy the America that we were founded to be.  The America that made America great in the eyes of the world.  And at the helm of it all is Barack Hussein Obama who is too big of a coward to stand up for anyone this country stands up for, but he will stand up for jihadists, and wants to bring them here, even though they have stated openly that is what they want to start their war with the US.  Who is in this for us?  Obama?  NO  Pelosi?  NO.  Ted Cruz?  Yes.  Trey Goudy?  Yes.  Donald Trump?  Yes.  But the left is fighting overtime to destroy America.  When are we going to stop them?
