In this episode of The Red Light Sports Ramble, presented by The Red Light Sports Network, Evan Witalison and Troy Otradovec will recap all of the Elite 8 games. Four teams were cutting down nets, as they won they region: Wisconsin Badgers, Kentucky Wildcats, Michigan State Spartans, and the Duke Blue Devils.
Wisconsin struggled shooting, once again, in the first half. The second half was a different story, as it seemed, the Badgers could not miss from behind the arc. Arizona stayed in this game by getting to the foul line; 30 times, and out rebounding the Badgers by one. Sam Dekker iced the game, with a high arching three pointer with 20 seconds left, making the score 84-76.
Kentucky remained perfect, only after Andrew Harrison made two free throws, with 6 seonds left. Jerian Grant missed a three pointer from the corner, as time expired. In a back and forth game, Kentucky outlasted the Irish, 68-66.
Tom Izzo is going back to the Final Four, for the seventh time. Louisville and Michigan State gave the fans, an extra five minutes, of basketball. As the media talked to Travis Trice, Denzel Valentine, and Brandon Dawson, without sharp shooter Bryn Forbes, the Spartans may have been watching the Final Four, from Lansing, MI. Forbes made 4 or 6 three pointers and finished with 14 points.
All-American Jahill Okafor was held to 9 points, on 4 of 10 shooting. However, the other four starters all scored, in double digits. Led by Justise Winslow and Matt Jones, with 16. Like Forbes, the Blue Devils should be putting the microphone, in Jones corner. He buried 4 of 7 three pointers, and the Blue Devils took control of this game late, and never looked back.

The coaching carousels in both college football and basketball have finally come to a close. So, what are the best jobs? Listeners are welcome to call for questions and discussion.
The Tigers and Minnesota Twins start yet another very important 3-game series at Comerica Park. Who will be in second place in the American League Central Division? Can the Tigers or Twins jump over the Kansas City Royals for first place? Ed Smith and I analyze and discuss. If the Tigers lose, will we rip on manager Brad Ausmus again? Or is this a different story? If they win, we won't worry about it.
We also talk about Caleb Swanigan's decommitment from the Michigan State Spartans Men's Basketball team and head coach Tom Izzo's "Whoop That Trick" Towel showing support for a couple former Spartans in the NBA playing in the NBA Playoffs.
Plus, the Lions sign veteran wide receiver Lance Moore, a 2016 guard named Tyus Battle has committed to the Michigan Wolverines Men’s basketball team, who has also added 2015 forward Brent Hibbits and lost Max Bielfeldt to decommitment, and the U-M Football program has dismissed wide receiver Dennis Norfleet.
Satchmo and DB discuss Caleb Swanigan committing to and decommitting from Michigan State's men's basketball team, Dantonio's approach to recruiting for football, the Spartan baseball season and Spartans in the NBA and the NHL. They also discuss the penultimate episode of Mad Men, which also featured plenty of recruiting. And they ponder what might happen in the final episode of the series.
The Tigers and Minnesota Twins play the middle game of the 3-game series at Comerica Park with Kyle Lobstein and Ricky Nolasco on the mound, as the race in the American League Central Division standings keeps heating up in the middle of May.
The Grand Rapids Griffins take a 2-0 series lead to Rockford and take on the Icehogs in Game 3 of the AHL Western Conference Semifinals in the 2015 Calder Cup Playoffs. They have yet to win a playoff game on the road. Did they win one on the road tonight?
The Lions work out safety Glover Quin's option to clear $2.17 million in cap space, sign 2nd-round draft pick Ameer Abdullah to a 4-year, $4.16 million deal, and sign former Chiefs cornerback Chris Owens and former Jets wide receiver Greg Salas to 1-year deals. Plus, Stephen Tulloch is getting better and ready to play in terms of his health.
Michigan Wolverines Football cornerback Blake Countess will transfer for his final season of eligibility after graduating from the university, Dennis Norfleet was NOT dismissed from the Football program; he was suspended, and assistant athletic director Jim Minick was suspended indefinitely for his DUI charge. Their Men's Basketball team will take on the North Carolina State Wolfpack in the upcoming season's Big Ten/ACC Challenge, and former Wolverine Chris Webber has problems with the Fab 5 documentary.
The Michigan State Spartans Football team lands 3-star defensive back Demetric Vance, while their Men's Basketball team is assigned to face the Louisville Cardinals in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
