But will the photos show a different story? Is this a staple of how the government view discipline in our communities? Or should we find a differnt way to discipline our children?

Some things our parents said to us made us more curious to learn certain things about growing up, I can remember my best friends mom was very over bearing and when we went to college she became the freak of the campus.I remember parents that taught their kids the word of GOD and they were more out there then I was, and they actually went to church every Sunday. Can Christian parents actually provoke theyre children to sinful temptations by holding on to tightly? Or is being laxed and laid back allowing them to make choices once they become teenagers to see what theyre made of from the word of God youve taught them? Why are kids so rebellious and refuse to obey? Could it be we're all causing this? Who plays a role in this saga? And how am I to end if it continues? Is there hope for our kids? Is there hope for the parents? Join us Sunday night at 10pm central as we discover the answers to these questions.
This Sunday's Topics
Should ALL corporal punishment be considered assault? Do MOST kids without spanking turn out to be softies? What are your thoughts on putting your hands on a child as a form of discipline?
Also, did you get a chance to watch Lifetime's biopic of Aaliyah? What did you think about it?
Finally, did you see the subway brawl in New York City, resulting in the arrest of four people? He slapped the SOUL out of her after she taunted him and struck him with her shoe, yet his charges were dropped! Thoughts?

Authors will chat about their books … upcoming and new. One’s a thriller; the other is debunks Christian nationalist history. What the books have in common is a view of topics advocated by the Christian right. Our guests include M. Dolon Hickmon and Chris Rodda. When it comes to disciplining children, some Bible-believing Christians believe that they should spank their children into submission and break their “rebellious” spirits. This is a tough subject that M. Dolon Hickmon is addressing in an unusual way … via thriller fiction. Hickmon is raising funds for his book, 13:24 – A Story of Faith and Obsession. An abuse survivor and an advocate for children’s rights, Dolon has lobbied successfully for county-level school corporal punishment reform, ensuring that parents in rural districts have the right to choose which adults may physically punish their children. He's volunteered with young adults at a close-custody prison, sharing his experiences of successfully moving past a violent upbringing.
Another activist – but in a different sphere – is Chris Rodda, well-known for her work in debunking the historical myths promulgated by Christian nationalists. The senior research director for the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, her work appears in a number of popular blogs. She’s been on radio and TV interviews nationwide. Her latest installment of series of books, Debunking David Barton’s Jefferson Lies: #5 – Jefferson Advocated a Secular Public Square, was published this month.
