Jae B “The Soul Man”
Soul music is described by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as music that rose from the black experience in America though the transmutation of Gospel and R&B Blues into a forum of Funky, Secular testifying.
Jae B is a Southern Soul/Blues artist who is a recent convert to the genre. He resisted singing Southern Soul/Blues for a long time, but he kept getting requests to sing sings by Soul/Blues artists. Each time he did, the response was overwhelming, and he has finally stepped into his role as a Southern Soul Man.
Jae B is now carrying on the tradition of great soul men like Bobby Rush, Mel Waiters, Theodis Ealey, William Bell, Marvin Sease…
He also respects the genres of Blues and Southern Soul and vows to keep it real just like the great artists did. That includes dressing the part as well as giving the audience all he’s got. Jae B works hard for the audience like the old school performers of the 50s, 60s, and 70s. He pulls his audiences in with high energy performances and a contagious smile. He has the stamina to perform all night with the same vigor and dynamism from the first song to the last, giving passionate and dramatic performances that endear him to his audiences...

"I have entered into the Southern Soul genre due to the fact that I can remain soulful and capture the mature crowd" says J. Red. "The commercialism and politics of R&B have cause independent artists like me to gravitate more to the Southern Soul and Steppers genres in order prevent the feeling of having to water down our vocal and musical talents".
J. Red (the nephew) grabbed the attention of Southern Soul and Blues lovers with his previous single "Let's Get Away" off his earlier EP "REAL". After having a warm welcome into his new found genre Southern Soul, J. Red (the nephew) dove right in head first and created this fresh new sound for Southern Soul.
