    Interview with James House

    in Music

Songwriter and Recording Artist JAMES HOUSE co-wrote Grammy Nominated Country Song of the Year “Ain’t That Lonely Yet” (recorded by Dwight Yoakam) and CMA Nominated Song of the Year “A Broken Wing” (recorded by Martina McBride) along with another smash hit "In A Week Or Two” (recorded by Diamond Rio).

Other artists to record his songs include Tina Turner, Olivia Newton-John, Rod Stewart, The Mavericks and Sara Evans - to name just several.

Born & raised in Sacramento, California, James pursued music in L.A. before making the move to Nashville in the late 1980s. Not long after the move, he was signed to MCA Records, where he began a string of chart hits like “Don’t Quit Me Now” and “Hard Times For An Honest Man.”

A switch to Epic Nashville produced the critically-acclaimed Days Gone By album and yielded the top 5 hit “This Is Me Missing You,” and top 20 singles “Real Good Way To Wind Up Lonesome” and “Little By Little.”

His latest album is entitled Songwriters Serenade. It features 10 songs co-written with James by some of the most successful songwriters in country music. One of the most talked about tracks has James singing the duet "Over Getting Over You" with newcomer Natalie Noone (daughter of famed founder/member of the Herman's Hermits, Peter Noone).

    Special Guest Billy Grima

    in Music

Please join Miss Catherine as she welcomes in a very special guest, Billy Grima.

Billy Grima is a singer/ songwriter living in the Caledon Hills of Ontario, Canada. Born in Blacktown, NSW Australia, Billy started writing at a very young age and was singing in a church choir by the age of 8 years old. At 15, Billy moved to Canada and settled in Toronto.   Like classic singer/songwriters, Billy Joel, Jim Croce, James Taylor and Bob Dylan, life's daily realities and everyday events are a source of Billy's inspiration.  His smooth and soulful sound has earned him comparisons to contemporaries Jason Mraz, Ed Sheeran, Jack Johnson and even Bruno Mars.

Billy has 3 albums to his credit: I'm Just Standing , A Little Piece Of Heaven and his latest, titled Sugar & Cream, produced and engineered by Pete Swann (Glass Tiger’s Alan Connely, Adrian and Justin Lifeson, sons of Rush’s Alex Lifeson.)  Sugar & Cream features a tasty blend of pop, rock, soul and Americana, including the first single, “Pleasure To Have Met You.”  The album is going for worldwide radio adds this spring.

"Writing a hook or humming a melody is medicine,” Grima says.  Let Sugar & Cream be the prescription for your perfect playlist.

The chat room will be opened for questions and comments.  Thanks for your support!
