    "My Baby Girl: Inspires Me"

    in Self Help

They say people are more afraid of public speaking than death.  There’s not much Catrice McWhorter is afraid of these days.  Catrice has made it her mission to prove to herself that fear is a liar by continuing to overcome any challenges presented to her.  She is one to never accept where she currently may be, as the furthest place she could ever go.   Whether it was leaving the comfort and stability of Atlantic City, New Jersey, her native home; leaving family, friends, and the life she’s known to move to Atlanta, GA.  Or whether, it is traveling and studying abroad on foreign lands for months at a time. Or lastly, satisfying her inner daredevil, with such activities as bungee-jumping, shark cage diving, and parasailing; this smart, educated mother continues to inspire all to be fearless. Guest Catrice McWhorter (1st Place Division F, International Contest Winner) and host Dawn Kamara, ACG, ALB.

Is My Significant Other Too Comfortable With Me?

    in Lifestyle

When is too far, too far?

    I’m not perfect,

    I’ll annoy you, piss

    You off, say stupid

Things, then take it all back,

But put that all aside, and

    You’ll never find a

    Person who cares or

    Loves you more than me

The best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly what and who you are. The good the bad and the indifferent.  Good mood, bad mood, mean spirit, ugly personality, idiosyncrasies and all. We all have some hang-ups and things we just would never do, but as the saying goes… love conquers all or love hides a multitude of sins… Just know the right person will make you forget all those little quirky things that may aggravate you… simply because that right person will make you smile and they believe the sun shines out of your wazuu… and at the end of the day, that person may not do all things right, but they are the right person for you…. With the right person you can do anything and everything around without hesitation… you love them and they love you…. Now my love please find me…

My God, Why Have You Forsaken Me.

    in Religion

Please join me THIS FRIDAY, APRIL  3rd  at 11am ( NOT TUESDAY)  FOR THIS WEEK. As we discuss some of thngs Jesus said on the cross..

Why did Jesus say- My God, My God, Why have you forsaken Me?  Did you know? It was the first time- He was ever seperated from The Father? Why? He took our place. So we wouldnt have to be eternally seperated from God. Everything He did, was for you and me.  The Great Exchange. The just for the unjust. Once for all..

About the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "ELI, ELI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?" that is, "MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?" (Matthew 27:46)

And some of those who were standing there, when they heard it, began saying, "This man is calling for Elijah." (Matthew 27:47)

Immediately one of them ran, and taking a sponge, he filled it with sour wine and put it on a reed, and gave Him a drink. (Matthew 27:48)

But the rest of them said, "Let us see whether Elijah will come to save Him." (Matthew 27:49)

And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. (Matthew 27:50)

And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth shook and the rocks were split. (Matthew 27:51)

Stay: Lessons My Dogs Taught Me about Life, Loss, and Grace

    in Christianity

On this special edition of Free for All Friday, our guest is Dave Burchett who is the author of the new book Stay: Lessons My Dogs Taught Me about Life, Loss and Grace.

You’ll be enthralled by this story of a man and his lovable Labrador retriever, Hannah, and what their canine friendship can show us about life, grace, and long walks in the park.

Hannah was Dave’s best friend. He couldn’t imagine starting a day without her tail wagging an energetic greeting, her body wiggling with sheer gratitude when her food dish was filled, and her unbridled enthusiasm for tennis balls. (How she fit three tennis balls in her mouth at once he’ll never know.)

So when Dave first learned of Hannah’s cancer diagnosis, he decided to take whatever time he had left with Hannah to cherish the moments and capture his thoughts in a journal. As he wrote about his canine friend, he soon realized that Hannah was an able (and furry) mentor of faith, grace, kindness, and forgiveness.
You won’t want to miss this heartwarming tale of a dog who knew how to live . . . and showed her owner how.

ME –  I’m just your average everyday woman, filled with Life, Love and Laughter.  I’m excited about life’s benefits, though I was not always excited about my choices. I rise each morning looking forward to a great cup of coffee and a good read.

GOD – My source of joy, my reason for living, my beginning and my end.

COFFEE– Part of every good conversation and Privy to every private thought. The start of every friendship begins with Coffee. In the acknowledgement of life or even the report of death there’s usually coffee. The universal language for “The Talk”.
