Ever lose something without even knowing you lost it and find it later, MUCH later at a place no amount of logic dictates it should not have been found? That was the experience your host, The Voice", had earlier this evening. Of course he has other things to talk about besides retrieving his personal stuff. Like why we shouldn't be hard on Tony Dungy and President Warren G. Harding's life on the creep and how the media should handle things today.
William Louis Harvey, a nom de plume, worked in California during the era of the California medical malpractice insurance crisis, as well as afterwards, when the MICRA law took effect, limiting the monetary awards for "pain and suffering" in trial verdicts. He also chaired a committee that reviewed all malpractice claims involving a major California hospital. Harvey continues to follow the national attempt to control the costs ofmedical malpractice litigation, known as Tort Reform. While Malpractice! The Novel, is a work of fiction, it is rooted in the personal experiences and first hand knowledge Harvey acquired during his years on the front lines of the clash between the medical and legal professions. Details of some of the cases he experienced are engraved in his memory, and small portions of these find their way into the novel—probably a ccommon occurrence with writers of realistic fiction. Malpractice! the Novel refers to Tort Reform ( a tort, in civil law, is a wrongful act ). Harvey, like many others, believes that California’s MICRA law is a good model for national Tort Reform, with modification.

Blessed John of Avila - The Apostle of Andalusia and the spiritual advisor of St. Teresa, St. Francis Borgia, St. John of the Cross, St. Peter of Alcantara, and others. He was born on January 6, 1499, at Almodovar del Campo, Spain. After studying law at the University of Salamanca, he left the university to be a hermit. He then went to Alcala, where he was ordained. John drew great crowds with his fiery denunciations of evil and his many sermons. A brief imprisonment by the Inquisition in Seville made him even more popular. His missionary efforts were centered on Andalusia, and his letters and other writings have become Spanish classics. John was canonized in 1970.
Isn't it a bit strange that we go through some twelve or more years of schooling, going through math, science, social studies, history, english, etc. but seem to have missed the class on how to live (life)? At least when I was in elementary school and Jr. High School, we received bits and pieces of such, but nothing directly which would help us understand the world in which we live or how to live successfully in it.
The choices we have as to how we will live our lives are many and varied, filled with individuals and philosophies to guide you aong their particular path, always with a price to pay ... usually paid by you and me. Each philosophy has an end point that is laid out and moved toward with each step we take in that particular school or philosophy of living. All is designed to eliminate the ignorance, striving and frustration while promising direction toward success, integrity, confidence and a host of other things we all want. Each philosophy requires a faith and confidence in their precepts as evidenced by confessions of such and changed behaviors to help attract the desired results.
Most of us have been there but seem to have missed what life is truly about. Let's look at "How Are You Living Your Life?" and see if we can make sense out of all of this.
Are you blind to dating "red flags?" Do you tend to be a hopeful romantic that doesn't see the other shoe before it drops? Tune into the discussion as Amber and Tia discuss what the red flags are, and how you can gain an advantage before your heart gets involved.

Paranormal experiences are a common occurence in childhood. But based on how parents and siblings respond, a child may or may not feel comfortable discussing the very real experiences they are having. American culture, including its multiplicity of religious beliefs, do not allow for the paranormal experience of seeing spirits or ghosts to be considered acceptable. Whereas other cultures may acknowledge and even explain the appearance of etherial beings of light that were once embodied members of our community, American culture teaches children to respond with fear when in the presence of beings existing in other dimensions. Is the New Age movement in direct conflict with most church teachings? How can children develop a healthy understanding of life and what we know as death unless allowed to explore and discuss the unknown? How do we respond if our children tell us they have seen ghosts? Do we silence them? Do we scold them for making up lies? Do we take them to a therapists? Or do we listen and try to help them process the experience?
