On his local show on traditional radio this week Henrik Lockhart will bring to his audience the Danish Polcalypso Band with Kazio Kierpaul, a Dane with musical calypso roots and with songs of Crucian-born James "Jamesie" Brewster, of course.
Accordong to Henrik, "Next week we will presnet an All-Danish show featuring Kazio's other Band Paulski og den nye verdensorden who just released their first album... their first single went to #1 in Denmark!!!"
All this in keeping the Virgin Islands' celebration of Transfer Day on March 31st, 98 years since the United States bought the Virgin Islands (then known as the Danish West Indies) from Denmark.
Henrik will share the who, what, how, what, and where behind his show as a local disc jockey.

An impromptu, post-Christmas episode brings us Flynt & Paisley discussing gay marriage, sacraments, bakeries, kids in glasses, dimetap, Sons of Anarchy, and the awesomeness of Trey Parker & Matt Stone. (Editor's Note-This was recorded about 3 months before Nebraska's stupid constitutional ban on gay marriage/civil unions was struck down; that still seems to be tied up in court so who knows what'll happen here.)
Tonight, barring any more technical difficulties, we discuss the Oscars telecast, new TV series, CHAPPiE, and more.

Our guests this morning are Kris D’Errico from Bella Beach and Laura Mandracchia from the Cake Bake Shop.
Kris Mackerer D'Errico is a 38-year resident of Manhattan Beach. A graduate of Robinson Elementary, Center Middle School and Mira Costa High School, she received her degrees in Communications and Theater from the University of Colorado in Boulder.
In 2011, Chef Laura Mandracchia became the owner of Cake Bakeshop. Laura comes from a long line of bakers as both her grandmother and great grandmother were bakers in Denmark. Her greatest culinary influence and hero is her Mormor (mother’s mother in Danish). Whether they were making something as simple as coffee and pastry, going to the Farmers Market or the “olive oil guy” in Napa, food was always there. She taught Laura that sometimes you need “just a little bit - not too much “ when adding that special ingredient.
