JESUS CHRIST, the God of the christian church is the most understood God that we know because their is a lack of teachings in the church that has a twist of a show. This is not what God wants but the people want,s their ears tickled wiith a flame of smooth talk that will encourage their flesh but dam the spirit of God to Hades. Remember flesh & blood will not enter the Kingdom Of God.

Being Outted: The Morphing of Masonry or How Good Men Are Duped

    in Lifestyle

Moving forward while preserving trust.  While we have been getting older, sixty-two people accumulated as much wealth as 1/2 the population of Earth. History tells us that imbalances like this are always resolved under attack. Roman outlawed hubris.  It was wrong minded and provocative to lord riches and rank above citizens. They eventually repealed that law, an fell into moral, economic and military decline. Once again, wealth has become a symbol of greed.  Men who have nothing, when they loose hope are a danger.  Children are starving, dying.  The diaspora in the millions are heading to the west. Agri-business has replaced the family farm but wealth has been there to buy up acreage for estate living. I believe freemasonry has enough resiliency to weather this instability but what comes of this new age reformation will be changed. We still trade on genius and celebrity, pleased having some curb appeal knowing thousands and thousands of contributions and acts of kindness eventually come together to define nations as they define us.  We have never wanted to compete with cultural power.  We share an unassailable belief in the goodness of mankind, helping the misfortunate and dedication to the advancement of humanity through arts & science; the two fascinations that define humanity. We modernize as we always have, as a small group of men with an honourable history and enduring moral alternative.

Carter G. Woodson and the History of Black History Month

    in Culture

Carter Godwin Woodson (Dec. 19, 1875 – April 3, 1950) was an African-American historian, author, journalist and the founder of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History. Woodson was one of the first scholars to study African-American history. A founder of The Journal of Negro History in 1915, Woodson has been cited as the father of black history. In Feb. 1926 he announced the celebration of "Negro History Week", considered the precursor of Black History Month.

Carter G. Woodson was born in Buckingham County, Virginia, the son of former slaves, James and Eliza Riddle Woodson.[5] His father helped Union soldiers during the Civil War and moved his family to West Virginia when he heard that Huntington was building a high school for blacks.

Coming from a large, poor family, Carter could not regularly attend school. Through self-instruction, he mastered the fundamentals of common school subjects by age 17. Wanting more education, Carter went to Fayette County to earn a living as a miner in the coal fields. He was able to devote only a few months each year to his schooling.

In 1895, at the age of 20, Woodson entered Douglass High School, where he received his diploma in less than two years. From 1897 to 1900, Woodson taught at Winona in Fayette County. In 1900 he was selected as the principal of Douglass High School. He earned his Bachelor of Literature degree from Berea College in Kentucky in 1903 by taking classes part-time between 1901 and 1903.

    The Other Side of Grief

    in Self Help

Today we will begin  a series of discussions about grief and the mililtary.

So many of our returning soldiers and vets struggle with readjusting to life at home. Often  the key to rebuilding a life beyond war is elusive and frustrating.

We will look and one of the key factors to this recovery. What is the grief of war? How is it  different from other forms of grief? How do we recognize it? How can we help.

    GOD'S WOUNDED SOLDIERS

    in Prayer

One of the hardest things about Christian living is to accept God’s plan instead of our own.  Until we do, we are at war with God, which won’t be resolved until someone surrenders.  We Christians can be stubborn, but we must remember that God is immutable.  He can never change.  He doesn’t need to – He is perfect and we are not!  Even so, we often still feel we know what is best for ourselves and expect God to compromise His plans and bless ours.  But God will never compromise His perfect position – we must compromise ours.
God is patient.  He allows adversities in life (often self-induced) to shoot down our self-dependence and blast away our arrogance.   Eventually, when our failed solutions have taken their toll, we will consider surrender and reluctantly come to God with our conditions.  However, even surrender cannot be on our terms – it must be on God’s terms and must be unconditional.  Only then can God finally work through us and His wonderful plan will be revealed to the eternal glory of Himself and OUR everlasting delight and happiness. (Galatians 2:20). Join  us for live prayer at 6:00 AM, Mon.-Fri. Dial 714.459.3963.

Solution to Swollen Self with Todd Tomasella and Travis Bryan III

    in Christianity

“And, behold, there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy.”  Luke 14:2

Jesus healed the man with dropsy on the Sabbath, a deed which violated Mosaic law.  The self-righteous Pharisees had a legal problem with this.

The symbolic meaning of the passage is in the dropsy.  Dropsy was a swelling of the body due to edema or excess buildup of body fluids.  This is a type of fallen man swelled up in pride, arrogance, independence, self-indulgence, self-gratification, self-confidence, self-controller methods, and self-esteem.  This typifies man’s main problem, the inflated self or ego.  I (“ego”) needs to be crucified with Christ.  This is only cure of self.  Gal 2:20.

Our death, burial and resurrection with Christ through the Spirit is the only cure for the bloated self.
