    life talk

    in Lifestyle

How are you feeling about things? The world is a crazy place full of good people for the most part that over shaddow the good . But we shine through. So lets have a good day and say hi and what you are thankfull for today. Thanks.

    in Prayer

Let's go to the high places.  I want to tell you about the secret of the hinds' feet. The hind is a female red deer whose home is the mountains. The rear feet of the hind step in precisely the same spot where the front feet have just been. Every motion of the hind is followed through with single-focused consistency, making it the most sure-footed of all mountain animals.

Now listen to how the Lord compares our spiritual walk with the hind...

The Lord God is my strength, and he has made my feet like hinds' feet, and makes me walk on my high places." (Habakkuk 3:19 and also found in Psalm 18:33)

Do you know that the Lord has some high places for you? Places where the air is pure, the view pristine, distractions are far below, and there are paths just big enough for the two of you. It's true that the climb up to the high places is a bit more challenging than a level foot path in the valley. But not if you've got those hinds' feet; the hinds' feet equip you for the roughest terrain.

Can't you just smell that mountain air? What are you waiting for?

    This One Step - A Survivor's Healing

    in Christianity

Polly grew up with six siblings in Mobile, Alabama, but was only 8 years old when her father died of lung cancer. Soon two neighborhood boys began to molest her, friends of her older twin brothers. A couple of years later she was assaulted by another neighbor and later by her older brother. She was able to break away from the abuse at the age of twelve, but was by then deep in the darkness of isolation. Polly is now a mother and grandmother, and has lived in Atlanta for the past 15 years and has become a devoted advocate for adult survivors of Child Sexual Abuse.

She began her organization, This One Step, to help older survivors of Child Sexual Abuse deal with the trauma of being part of what she has named, "The Unknown Generation"  A generation of survivors who had nowhere to go for support.  In her late teens she began writing as a coping mechanism to deal with the PTSD.  Her three books, "Cider Blocks and Oven Racks", "Billy Wayne's Christmas Train" and "The Unknown Generation" will be available in early 2016.  She has written many southern short stories which have been published in different publications.  She is now hosting her own blogtalk radio show Monday through Friday beginning at 6:00am.

"So Annoying" - COCKTAIL CONVERSATIONS on KLJN 107.7 with David Glover

    in Relationships

HOST: David Glover, The Controversial Counselor

    TITLE: "So Annoying"

    PRODUCER: Lady Jaz

Patina was growing increasingly annoyed with the antics of Clinton's mother Shirley.
Patina has been with Clinton 2 years and they are engaged to be married in 6 months.
Well every family function Clinton has.... his mother keeps inviting Ramona to the events and like clockwork she shows up.  And although Clinton has a child by Ramona , Petina doesn't understand why its necessary for Ramona to show up.......... considering she is married.
Patina has discussed this with Clinton numerous times but nothing ever changes.
What Shirley says is "Ramona will always be a part of our family I have nothing against her", "she is the mother of my only granddaughter."
"If Patina does not like it, she doesn't have to come she's not pulling any rank around here".
How do we rectify this annoying situation and who should get the blame for this mess?

    in Spirituality

Well now, you thought you were doing everything right didn't you? Thought you were so smart there was no way you were doing it wrong or anything would go wrong, didn't you?  Really, really?  So how did that work out for you?  Yeah me too, still licking my wounds over the last time I didn't listen.. The universe has a wild and wooly way of showing you just how wrong you can be, or in some cases how right you can be.. All you have to do was listen and act in just the right manner and at just the right time. LOL, yeah I know, it sounds way more easier to do than it really is.

Boy do I have a "I told you so" incident the universe had in store for me. How about you? What happened to you? Come join me, your host Ozzy the healer and my co-host Julia Hoffman for a 2 hour conversation with us and you, yes you, I will be opening the phone lines to multiple callers for this one.  We want to hear  all about it.. The awesome, the not so awesome, and the really not so awesome. What did you learn, how did you deal with it, etc, etc, etc...

You know the rules, there are no rules. Just a good clean conversation about all thing metaphysical. Nothings to weird or boring because it happened to you and that's awesome. So call in and share because we care and want to hear about it. And if need be, we can help you comprehend that for which you don't understand.

Kathy Porter grew up in Endicott, New York, the birthplace of IBM and only a short distance from where one of her favorite TV series creators, Rod Serling, was raised. Kathy's lifelong interest in science fiction ignited when her father, a science teacher, showed her craters on the moon and taught her about the constellations. She grew up watching science fiction movies and TV shows. Ray Bradbury's Martian Chronicles was her first delve into a science fiction novel, and she has been hooked ever since.

"I think I was born telling stories," Kathy explained during a recent interview. "As second to the oldest of seven children, the girls all slept in one bedroom. I loved making up bedtime stories with an eerie edge to frighten my sisters: tales about fairies, leprechauns, and aliens."
