This week we review "Snowpiercer" starring Chris Evans and Tilda Swinton. From wikipedia:
An experiment to counteract global warming causes an ice age that kills nearly all life on Earth. The only survivors are the inhabitants of the Snowpiercer, a massive train, powered by a perpetual-motion engine, that travels on a globe-spanning track. A class system is installed, with the elites inhabiting the front of the train and poor inhabiting the tail.
Tune in this Sunday at 3:30 PM PST to find out if you should be watching this instead of the 25th installment of big robots fighting each other.
Kelly calls into Variety Radio Online to chat about 'Snowpiercer'. In a future where a failed global-warming experiment kills off all life on the planet except for a lucky few that boarded the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe, where a class system evolves.

On this week’s edition of Scottscope Talk Radio, the roundtable reviews Transformers: Age of Extinction! Is it on par with the first three? Is it any better than the first three? Might it actually be worse? Do the Dinobots actually make an appearance? Is it time for Michael Bay to walk away from the franchise? Can Michael Bay actually be considered an auteur, or is he merely a skilled technician? Is the franchise beyond redemption at this point? Is the source material too inane to be made palatable for adults?
We’ll also be reviewing the sci-fi actioner Snowpiercer! Can it be considered a modern day fable? Is it on par with other dystopian sci-fi classics like The Matrix and The Road Warrior? Has director Bong Joon-ho managed to upstage his Hollywood brethren? Has Chris Evans become one of our most dependable leading men? Can he now be considered a fanboy favorite? Does this film show that groundbreaking sci-fi can be made on a meager budget?
Lastly, we’ll be celebrating the 25th anniversary of Do the Right Thing! It is still relevant after all these years? Is it evenhanded in its portrayal of race relations in America? Were critics right to fear that it might set off race riots around the country? Can Spike Lee still make films of this caliber? Is “Fight the Power” the greatest rap song to ever appear on a motion picture soundtrack? Does the film offer an accurate portrait of Koch-era New York?
