America's Champions with LT Dan (Navy SEAL) Ret

    in Motivation

America's Champions has Sheriff Jim Muller of Adams County (Gettysburg PA area).

After his military service, employment in the building trades and managing his own business, Jim Muller was again eager for public service.  In 1991, he was appointed Constable of Mt. Pleasant Township by Presiding Judge, Oscar Spicer.

That, in turn, led him to a position with the Adams County Prison System and Jim attended the Officer Corrections School in Hershey, PA.  He later took a position as a County Detective for Adams County.

Those positions gave him hands-on experience dealing with the criminal justice system, crime, criminals, prisoners and prisoner transport as well as security, among other issues. He continued attending state-mandated Constable courses given at the Harrisburg Area Community College to stay current in techniques and issues of law and law enforcement. He also attended Dickinson School of Law where he graduated from the Deputy Sheriff's Academy.

In 1998, Jim Muller started his career with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office. He was placed in charge of the Warrant & Civil Process Division.  He was also appointed as a Deputy U.S. Marshal (a position he eventually stepped down from once elected as Sheriff) and the same year, voted Deputy of the Year. After eight years of service with the Sheriff’s Office, four years ago, concerned about the lack of progress within the Sheriff’s Office that he had observed first hand, Jim decided that he would like to use his years of experience as a business person, a Constable, County Detective, Corrections worker and Deputy Sheriff and made the decision to run for the office. He succeeded.

O YE DRYBONES : Is the Black CON-scious Movement DEAD OR ALIVE ? AFTER 30YRS

    in Current Events

ONE OF THE MOST TROUBLESOME FACTS IN THE STUDY OF
history over very long periods of times, such as several centuries, is that a truth may slowly emerge, period after period, until it clearly forms itself into a truth impregnable, a fact nowhere explicitly stated as such in the mass of data covered. As one continues to move on down through the centuries, countless events and situations may continue to make supporting additions to what has already been established as an unassailable fact. Yet that truth may be so repugnant, so utterly void of any rational or intelligent reason for its existence that hardly any historian would wish to state it in his work.Dr. Chancellor Williams {1974}(1)  "The last recession has had a severe and disproportionate impact on African Americans and minority communities," according to Marc H. Morial, president of the National Urban League.(2) In its January 2004 report on black unemployment, the Urban League found that the double-digit unemployment rates in the 14 months from late 2002 through 2003 were the worst labor market for African Americans in 20 years.(3)The term "deindustrialization" came into everyday use in the 1970s, when a wave of plant closings changed the employment landscape. From 1966 to 1973, corporations moved over a million American jobs to other countries. Even more jobs moved from the Northeast and Midwest to the South, where unions were scarce and wages lower. New York City alone lost 600,000 manufacturing jobs in the 1960s.(4) The article discusses the loss of close to nine million acres of land by Blacks in the U.S. since 1910 mostly due to ignorance and deception from whites. Legal and financial assistance to rural Black landholders are provided by the Emergency Land Fund (ELF). Over 130 cooperatives across the South have been set up by the Federation of Southern Cooperatives (FSC).

TTIN 7 The Firmament with special insight from Zen Garcia

    in Spirituality

In this round table discussion we will discuss what God referred to as The Firmament.

    Genesis 1:6-8 KJV

[6] And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. [7] And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. [8] And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

Easton's Bible Dictionary says that the word "firmament" is from the Vulgate firmamentum, which is used as the translation of the Hebrew _raki'a_. And that it denotes the space or expanse like an arch appearing immediately above us.

Now Easton's admits that those who rendered _raki'a_ by firmamentum regarded it as a solid body, however they qualify that by adding,

"The language of Scripture is not scientific but popular, and hence we read of the sun rising and setting, and also here the use of this particular word. It is plain that it was used to denote solidity as well as expansion. It formed a division between the waters above and the waters below (Gen 1:7 . The _raki'a_ supported the upper reservoir (Ps 148:4 . It was the support also of the heavenly bodies (Gen 1:14), and is spoken of as having "windows" and "doors" (Gen 7:11 ; Isa 24:18 ; Mal 3:10) through which the rain and snow might descend."

So are we simply not to believe God at His Word? No of course not, we are being lied to, so be sure to join us and learn the truth about The Firmament from our dear friend Zen Garcia!

Football 2 the MAX: 2016 NFL Draft Review: Team Grades

    in Football

The NFL Draft is now over, the rookies know what teams they are playing for, and the teams are moving towards focusing on OTA’s. However, we aren’t quite finished looking at the 2016 Draft.

Before moving along, we have to give out our 2016 NFL Draft Team Grades for each team, choose a winner for each division, and look at some categories as well. This was certainly a Draft that was unpredictable, had some nice and crazy storylines, and brought hope to so many teams.

Who had the best draft? What were some of the teams that made some weird decisions? Who has the most potential to shine down the line? We look at all of that and a few news items as well on this big episode.
