Welcome everyone to the Voice of Change! Today's program is all about Parenting by Choice...not Chance. Have you ever taken a step back and looked at your parenting style and asked, what am I doing? While raising my children I had that experience many times. That is when I'd stay up a little later (after the kids were all asleep) and reflect on how I needed to change my approach. I always attempted to use the happening from the present day...to make tomorrow a better one for all. (Sometimes it was successful and sometimes not! :)
Learn today, how you can begin parenting my CHOICE...not Chance beginning today! Just by making a couple of decision about what is important to you and your spouse, you'll be able to easily parent by Choice not chance!

JD Holiday talks with the author Debbie Roppolo. She is the author of many short stories including being published in Chicken Soup for the Coffee Lover's Soul, and Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul. Klutzin’Around the Christmas Tree was the title for an anthology. In 2011 Debbie published her first children's book, Amelia Frump and her Peanut Butter Loving, Overactive Imagination which she patterned the character "Amelia" after her own childhood. In 2013, Amelia Frump...is Cooking Up a Peanut Butter Storm won second place in the Purple Dragonfly Book Awards. Her book, He's My Brother focuses on how siblings sometimes feel alone after a diagnosis of autism.
After Debbie's son, Joseph was diagnosed with autism, she felt the need to raise awareness about the disorder and become an advocate through her writing. Doing research and conversations with her older son Jonathan, she discovered that siblings sometimes feel alone after a diagnosis of autism. There is little focus on their thoughts and emotions, and they are are forced to cope alone.
He's My Brother was written with the intent of bringing awareness to this situation in addition to supplying information about autism.

What most people don't know is that while it was a great disaster, miracles filled the air, literally, as witnessed by scores of children. These children reported to parents and professional counselors what they saw, which were butterfly people, butterflies with human heads who could speak and protect humans.
Join the Unknown Zone with Judy Sellins and Dave Turco to find out the true stories of the Butterfly People of Joplin and similar accounts from 9/11, Mt. Pleasant, WV, a mine in Freiberg, Germany and more of winged being looking out for our welfare!
