What Happened to the Black Sitcom??

    in Education

I would like to discuss the black sitcom and why it doesn't appear on the big networks like ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX. Could this be a racial issue? Are other ethnicities not interested because the shows are stereotypical?

    Interview with Don Minenger

    in Motivation

Don Minenger started out in modeling when he was 27 years old but after dealing with some disappointments and frustrating circumstances he decided to give it up. He gave up on the whole industry and decided to concentrate on raising his kids. It was not until June 2011 that an agency reached out to him and offered to help him get back into the industry, he was very hesitant to accept and told them he would call them back. He spent two weeks thinking about it, he decided to sign with them for six months and they told him that if they could not find any work for him within those six months that they could dissolve the contract. He waited and nothing came through and it made him depressed and he told himself that this is not for me. He received a call from a lady named Theresa that was producing an off-Broadway show in New York City. He landed the role and went on to work with her from 2011 to present in four of her productions. He also did another off-Broadway play with another very talented producer and writer named Nisi Newsom. Then he was discovered by an upcoming film director by the name of Nevaughn Brown. In between him doing plays back in 2012, he worked with Mr. Brown on a film called (Love Like This) and is currently working with him on some other projects. They are also in partnership with a magazine called (The Everyday Girl Magazine). He is currently writing a sitcom called (The Family) and also working on writing his first off-Broadway play called (Am I My Brothers’ Keeper). He is also looking to do some workshops for children that want to learn about the business the right way.

Don't Get Stuck in Between Seasons

    in Entrepreneur

Oftentimes life journey can throw us some curb balls that we do not see coming.  It could be your marriage, your health, your children or on the job.  Even those in business can start their entrepreneurial journey and find themselves not understanding why everything is not as smooth as they hoped it to be.

I want to take you to a 1960’s sitcom by the name of “Get Smart.”  The sitcom opens by Maxwell Smart walking through numerous doors until he reaches the telephone booth.  For the sake of this blog, I want to focus on the doors.  Let me paint the picture for you, in case you are not familiar with this sitcom.  Maxwell was walking toward the doors and as he approached the door, is when the door opened.  The door did not open ahead of time, nor did Maxwell have to stop for the door to open.  Simultaneously, as Maxwell approached the next door, it opened and he kept walking.

These doors represent the beginning of new seasons in our lives. You don't want to miss this broadcast.  It is guaranteed to bless your life.
