Research Methods in Criminal Justice – Ethics and Design

    in Training

Brought to you by The American Public Safety Training Institute (TAPSTI) www.tapsti.org, this 2 hour session will review the work of Dr. Peter Kraska and Dr. W. Lawrence Neuman and their excellent textbook entitled “Criminal Justice and Criminology Research Methods” (2012, 2nd ed.).  Thinking about your application of ethics in your research project is critical to your completing enough preparation to be successful. Ethical conduct ensures that the "knowledge–power dynamic" which we understand so well in public safety generates knowledge only from credible research. As a criminal justice researcher you have a professional and ethical obligation to create new knowledge that is useful, accurate, credible, and that can be generalized across a wide population. The purpose of this seminar is to ensure you understand and appreciate the ethical implications of your research as well as the potential adverse impacts that research can have on others.

    in Politics

Tonight we will discuss the exact meaning of what it is that the black masses are seeking in their attempt at arena sports.  Could our behavior be linked to the violent nature in which Malcolm and our other leaders died have awakened a  primeval stance in our minds? As a people have we lost the ability to see humanity has gone far astray because we have not really achieved justice for our fallen? Have we really turned a blind eye to the Murder of our Beloved leader? “In America, we give maximum  expression to our blood lust in the mass spectator sport of boxing. Some of us are Roman enough go admit our need of the sport.  Others pretend  to look the other way.  but when a heavyweight champion fight rolls around, the nation takes a moral holiday and we are all turned in some of us peeping out of the corner of our eye at the square jungle and the animal test of brute power unfolding there.

Every institution  in America is tainted by the mystique of race, and the question of masculinity is confused by the presence of both a white man and a black man here.  One was  the master and the other was the slave until a moment ago when they both were declared to be equal men; which leaves American men literally without a unitary, nationally viable self-image.  Whatever dim vision of masculinity they have is a rough and ready, savage mishmash of violence and sexuality, and dichotomized exercise and worship of physical force/ submission to and fear of physical force which is only one aspect of the broken down relationship between mean and women in America.  This is an era when the models of manhood  and womanhood have been blasted to dust by social upheaval, and the most alienated males and females at the bottom of society move out of their place and bid for their right to be man and woman on an equal basis with the former masters and mistresses." SOUL ON ICE,  Eldridge Cleaver.

The Female Solution: Are We Introducing Too Much Sex To Children Too Soon?

    in Religion

There was a time when childhood was a period of innocence. Today, with the Internet sending graphic sexual images to every device at our fingertips, that childhood innocence is gone. Are we introducing too much sex too soon to our children? How is it affecting them? There is a scene inSpike Lee's controversial, new film Chiraq in which the lead Character, played by Nick,Cannon has a flashback to a childhood memory in which he walks in on his mother having sex. It gives some insight as to why he later has such disrespect for women. There is a reason why so many children are conceived without love or intention by parents. How do we reclaim innocence for our children and introduce sexuality to them with the wholesome spiritual understanding in a manner that is age appropriate? How dowe protect them from the emotional trauma of public images of too much sex too soon?

A Hezekiah Moment, The Makeover Begins

    in Christianity

Good morning Baltimore, I pray that all of you are having a blessed and wonerful morning today.  As I said you guys are going on a ride with me as I'm emailing back and forth and calling back and forth with Purposely Created Publishing as we're, not just me, you and I are embarking on the makeover of my first novel, my first baby, the thing I worked on for over three year.....lol...I know I sound like a mother.  Hey you guys take nine months...lol… was slow, my book REDISCOVERING KIA.  I'm making the payment, uploading my file, my baby, and she will be in the oven for less than a month and will be available on eBook on December 17, 2015.  Are you just excited as I am.

When we're embarking on a new venture, it's not easy.  But I have to step up my game.  When you meet someone new, and they have the ability and credentials behind their name, then take that chance.  I've seen Tie just this week launch another author on her platform.  That just makes me more excited for what I'm about to do.  Please keep me in prayer because I want to be patient.  The Word says “be still and know that I am God,” and that's what I want to do.  Everyone at Purposely Created Publishing has been so good to me and that's why I did the video.  Oh yea, I updated that video as well so check out the [NEW] TMITM CELEBRATING AUTHORS THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON 2015.

But let's not forget we still have one more show for this November.  Please join me November 27, 2015 at 9 PM as we welcome Ms. Flora Carter.  She's a survivor of Domestic Violence and she's going to tell her story and answer your questions.  Pass the word around so we can make her feel welcome to The Man In The Mirror Platform.

Introducing Children To Sex: Are We Doing Too Much Too Soon?

    in Women

There was a time before television that childhood was a period of innocence. All that is gone now. With the Internet sending graphic sexual images to every device at our fingertips, childhood innocence is gone. What effect is this having on our children. In the controversial, film Chiraq about Chicago's gang violence, there is a graphic flashback scene in which the lead character, played by Nick Cannon, walks in on his mother having sex. This gives insight as to perhaps what happened that destroyed his respect for women. Today, our youth are raised in a culture with no consciousness of morals or family values. As a result children are conceived often without love or intention. Are we introducing too much sexuality to our children too soon and in a negative way that emotionally traumatized them? How do we take back control of the minds of our children and introduce spirituality to sexuality in a way that is wholesome and age appropriate
