Glory Under Dangerous Skies is the brand new record from Moist - their first together since 1999's Mercedes 5 and Dime, and man, is it ever good. We catch up with the band and talk about their decision to reunite, some of the new elements they've incorporated into their sound, and how they're going to win new fans while appeasing those that followed them religiously during their hayday.
Then, we'll have Toronto's Ben Stevenson, whose debut EP, Dirty Laundry, drops Nov. 4th. While it may be Stevenson's first self-branded release, he's no stranger to the scene and has collaborated on productions with the likes of Boi-1da and Vinylz. We'll speak about his new release and the aspiration he has for his new solo venture.

Dr. Annie Kagan is a former New York City based chiropractor and singer/songwriter. In 1996, she left her hectic city life, and moved to a small house by the bay. While trying to figure out what to do with the next chapter of her life, her brother Billy died unexpectedly and began speaking to her about the afterlife. Marshall Dane’s infectious blend of country and rock is set to blaze a trail in 2014. Country by definition, but fueled by rock and roll and infected with a watermelon-sized helping of hope, love and salvation, Marshall’s the kind of guy you want to have on your side when the going gets tough in this world and his new album, One Of These Days is set to be your alibi.
Born in Southern Ontario, Marshall grazed on a rich fix of music, from the country sounds of his preacher dad – “He first taught me how to play “The Farmer’s Song” on guitar” – through his mum – in his own words the strongest, toughest, hardest working woman he’s ever met – who played piano in the evenings to his four sisters and two brothers and through his own musical discoveries from John Denver to Michael Jackson – “Thriller was the first album I bought, on cassette!”
Playing in bars and clubs as a solo singer and with a touring band – has given him his fair share of stories and insights – great for writing songs. He has opened for Alan Jackson and Emerson Drive, played at the 2011 CCMA Awards and toured on his own. On days off however, he prefers to spend his time out of the bar – in the gym, on his motorcycle, practicing yoga or at home in his apartment “cooking up something scrumptious.”
Marshall Dane will join Take 2 Radio Music for a chat and music on Wednesday, October 29th at 3pm eastern!
In 2013, breakout star Tiara Thomas made headlines with the hit single ‘Bad.’ Now the singer/songwriter is back with the release of her new single, ‘One Night.’ Indianapolis native Tiara Thomas has been singing since her childhood and began writing the day she was given her first guitar by her father at age twelve. “The first day I got the guitar, I wrote a song,” recalls Thomas whose major influence is Lauryn Hill. “The more I taught myself, the more I realized I could bring all three things together: singing, rapping and playing.” Years of hard work afforded Tiara the opportunity to attend Ball State University where she further developed her musical talents and later graduated with a degree in Telecommunications. The newcomer has already co-written, co-produced and co-starred on her first Billboard No. 1 urban mainstream single, Wale’s ‘Bad.’ Since then, her multiple talents as a singer, songwriter, producer and emcee have shown through. She is currently preparing to release her debut album which will be released by Rico Love’s Division1 imprint, distributed by Interscope Records
