Spiritual Growth Tools on the Radio has a variety of guests to help you to better understand the blocks that are holding you back, the show aims to entertain, inform and offer a different perspective to the issues that you are faced with. We hope you will join us on the journey!
This weeks guest, Simon Heathcote is a former newspaper editor, award-winning feature and travel writer for publications including CNN Traveller magazine, The Independent and The Sunday Herald magazine in Scotland. After some time living in a retreat centre where he was lucky enough to be part of the pioneering men's movement in the UK, he retrained as a counsellor specialising in the nascent field of sex and love addiction and working at London's Roehampton Priory.
A believer in reincarnation, he spent several years training with the late Dr Roger Woolger founder of Deep Memory Process as well as studying astrology. His website soulvision.co.uk has been chosen several times as one of the most interesting blogs on the net. This year he set up the Centre for Alternative Education, an online resource which aims to connect people with the unity behind the whole and in the spring walked The Camino with his middle child Meg, aged 20. He is the father of Noah, 16, and Jess, 24. After a long spiritual search, including time with the Babaji community in the UK and northern India, interests in Buddhism and mystical Christianity, Simon found a home in Sufism.

Operation Ivy Bells. Broadly speaking the plot is simple, it is towards the end of the Cold War, might the US be daring enough to send an older nuclear powered sub into the heart of waters controlled by the USSR to plant an NSA inspired listening device on an underwater communications cable? Might the same sub also snoop around a little bit to see if they can find any remnants from recent missile launches? Well I have to say yes. Might a sub lurking inside USSR controlled waters possibly attract the attention of the Russians, certainly!
I will be sitting down with Robert to find out more about Operation Ivy Bells and I think some of the anwers might surprise you.

What did you want to be when you grew up? I have always wanted to make a big impact. Write a book a movie or something that would motivate and inspire people to be there best and overcome obstacles. How this would materialize for me was all a puzzle that only makes sense when you look back as to how all the pieces fit together.
So many people want to make an impact but don't know what or how.
Funny it wasn't until I met the guest on todays show Wendy Lipton-Dibner that I really thought about the real emotional connection I have to that impact.
What moves you? When you tap into what moves you, you can't sit still. You are driven. You can move mountains. Why are you doing what you are doing? Think about it. What impact do you want to make?

#MyRealTalkRadio interviews Singer/Songwriter & The X Factor USA season 1 Winner: Melanie Amaro.
The winner of the first season of The X Factor USA, Melanie Amaro drew comparisons to classic R&B divas such as Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and raised by her grandparents in the British Virgin Islands along with her two brothers and sister, Amaro grew up singing at home as well as at church, weddings, and other occasions, but never entered any talent competitions until her mother encouraged her to try out for The X Factor. Amaro sang Beyoncé's "Listen" for judges Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul (both formerly of American Idol), solo artist and former cat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, and producer L.A. Reid at the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables, Florida. She was chosen as one of the 32 finalists and sang Michael Jackson's "Will You Be There" for Cowell, who selected her as one of his singers to mentor for the season. When she didn't make the cut for the 16 finalists, Cowell decided he'd made a mistake and she became the show's 17th finalist. Amaro did well during the season, becoming one of the final three singers along with Chris Rene and Josh Krajcik; on the final episode in December 2011, she was named the show's winner, earning $1 million for herself as well as a $4 million contract with Epic Records. She also appeared in a Pepsi commercial with Elton John that aired during Super Bowl XLVI. Amaro's debut album, Truly..., featuring the single "Don't Fail Me Now," Melanie is currently in the studio working on a solo album which is set for release in the fall 2014.
