Spiritual Growth Tools on the Radio has a variety of guests to help you to better understand the blocks that are holding you back, the show aims to entertain, inform and offer a different perspective to the issues that you are faced with. We hope you will join us on the journey!
This weeks guest, Simon Heathcote is a former newspaper editor, award-winning feature and travel writer for publications including CNN Traveller magazine, The Independent and The Sunday Herald magazine in Scotland. After some time living in a retreat centre where he was lucky enough to be part of the pioneering men's movement in the UK, he retrained as a counsellor specialising in the nascent field of sex and love addiction and working at London's Roehampton Priory.
A believer in reincarnation, he spent several years training with the late Dr Roger Woolger founder of Deep Memory Process as well as studying astrology. His website soulvision.co.uk has been chosen several times as one of the most interesting blogs on the net. This year he set up the Centre for Alternative Education, an online resource which aims to connect people with the unity behind the whole and in the spring walked The Camino with his middle child Meg, aged 20. He is the father of Noah, 16, and Jess, 24. After a long spiritual search, including time with the Babaji community in the UK and northern India, interests in Buddhism and mystical Christianity, Simon found a home in Sufism.

Thank You Dear LORD for Your Goodness.
Thank You for Your Mercy and Grace that's
New each and everyday.
Father I Praise Your Name for Your Name is
Awesome to be Praised. Go before us this Day
Dear LORD and Baptize us anew by the Awesome
Power of Your Precious Holy Spirit. Father as I come
today, my Prayer is for chains of Darkness to be Broken.
For everything that is not of You to be removed so far from
us. Father I Thank You for the Opportunity to Pray, Praise
and the Holy Spirit of the LORD to fall afresh on us. Beloved
as we take a look at Jesus's Calling of the First Disciples in
Matthew 4: 18-22. We see Beloved Brothers who were Fishermen
casting their nets in the Lake, for they were Fisherman. Jesus's famous
line says..."Come, Follow Me, and I will make you fisher's of Men."
Beloved we see the Brother's Simon called Peter and his Brother
Andrew leaving their nets at once and following Jesus. Can you imagine
the Power in that Beloved...Jesus calling us and we leave and "follow Him
immediately? We next see in verse 21-22, Jesus calling two other Brother's
James son of Zebedee and his Brother John. The Brother's were in a Boat
with their Father, preparing their nets, when they were called. And immediately
they left their Father and their nets in their boat and followed Jesus. Wow!
Immediately! Not later...but immediatley. Father may we when we are called
come after you immediately. May we leave that which we need to leave and
immediately follow the Christ. Father in the mighty name of Your Son Jesus
Christ I praise Your most Precious and Awesome name. Thank You Dear LORD
for Jesus. Thank You LORD you call us to come. Wash us cleanse us and make
us whole today.
Lots to talk about this week.
Is it time for the patriot act to die? The bulk collection of meta data does not seem to have produced any results. When it was enacted weeks after 9/11 the government could have mandated anything, and the American public would have agreed. Mandatory eating of Brussel sprouts, but times have changed. Is it time for the patriot act to die?
Hard to believe that the first GOP presedential debate is less than two months away. FOX is limiting it to the top 10 contenders based on some polls. Needless to say the other 8 or so hopefuls are miffed. So it is likely that we are facing 8 weeks of idiocy while they battle for a top ten spot. I find it humorous that anyone would want to be on FOX, but oh well.

What is your “third eye”? And how can you open it? Through the window of your eyes, you can view the ever-changing landscape of your beauteous, miraculous world. You can delight in beholding the glorious manifest creation around you—both the natural world and man-made objects. You perceive this magnificent world with your five senses: seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling, and feeling.
But there is a sixth sense. With this sixth, higher sense perception, you can open the gateway to subtler realms of existence. You can develop an inner eye and view an invisible world, consisting of multiple dimensions, alternate realities, subtle planes, spiritual worlds filled with light, and parallel universes of indescribable wonders. This eye of wisdom, knowledge, illumination, and intuition is aptly named “The Third Eye.”
The mechanism of sight, according to science, is a marriage between the object of perception, your two eyes, and your brain. It is believed the mechanism of inner sight (insight or intuition) uses an inner third eye, seated in the pineal gland. This gland, somewhat of a mystery to modern Western allopathic medicine, is well known to Ayurvedic medicine of India, to Chinese medicine, and to the ancient cultures of Egypt, Sumeria, Assyria, Babylonia, Greece, Rome, Mesoamerica, and others.
In India this third eye is known as the ajna chakra, a subtle energy plexus in the middle of your brain seated in the pineal gland. It is the portal of higher vision, where you can see what is not evident by using your eyes. This chakra is not in your physical body.
Awaken Your Third Eye is written by Dr. Susan Shumsky, author of ten spiritual self-help books, Dr. Shumsky has authored Divine Revelation, in continuous print with Simon & Schuster since 1996, as well as four award-winning books: Miracle Prayer, published by Random House, Exploring Chakras, How to Hear the Voice of God, and Ascension.

Kisha Simon is a representative with Damsel in Defense.
Damsel in Defense was founded in September 2011 by Mindy Lin and Bethany Hughes, two friends with a passion for safety.
Looking at the US national statistics of crimes against women, they knew they needed to make products available to other safety-conscious women. Appreciating safety just as much as a great accessory, they set out and formed a line of safe and sassy products. They wanted a line women would feel fashionable carrying while being Equipped, Empowered, and Educated. The products received an overwhelming response in their home state of Idaho; but being busy moms of little ones, they could not get products to the rest of the country on their own. In October 2011, Damsel in Defense signed it’s first Independent Damsel Pro with a goal of 100 nationwide Damsel Pros within a year.
Within one year they had reached 1,000 Independent Damsel Pros and in just over three years, Damsel in Defense has welcomed nearly 8,000 Independent Damsel Pros to its’ nationwide team. Damsel in Defense is about equipping women with the tools to not only keep us safe but to give us the confidence to know we have a way out if we ever feel threatened. All of our products are non-lethal and covered by warranties. Damsel in Defense has the products and fact-based education that can and does save lives.
We pride ourselves on making women feel more comfortable about arming themselves. Our mission consists of three principles that together we feel can change the world one Damsel at a time. Equip, Empower and Educate.
The name “Katonte”, which in Bemba means “being warm together”, is the name of a village in eastern Masaiti District in Copperbelt Province. The Village is close to the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), roughly between the towns of Ndola and Kapiri Mposhi, but it is some 35 Km from the nearest rural clinic. Women and child morbidity and mortality are thought to suffer especially as a result. The Department of Health has constructed a new clinic there, but it is currently inoperable owing to the lack of staff housing. KHP’s initial target is to construct a house, and to contribute to equipping the clinic, so that staff can be posted and it can “open for business”.
Simon and Theresa Foot will join us.
Where does FIFA go from here? - the round table team will discuss.
