The Conspiracy Rising with Simon Driscoll

    in Pop Culture

The series is Warriors & Watchmen and the first book is called Conspiracy Rising from the author, Simon Driscoll.

Simon Driscoll has been writing most of his life. Writing is his passion, as well as his hobby. He has been a student of the scriptures all his life, and feels passionately about helping others understand them better. The most difficult aspect of scriptures to comprehend is prophecy. That is why Simon has combined his passions for writing and the scriptures to create a fictional account of the fulfillment of End Times Prophecies. The first book in the Warrior and Watchmen Series was published in 2015.

Warriors & Watchmen is a mainstream thriller series based on End Times Prophecies and current events. The first book, Conspiracy Rising, follows the story of Bryan Benson, a man who loses everything in a suicide bombing. His path of revenge helps to set the world on fire, but who is really pulling all the strings?
The three Shumway brothers find themselves intimately involved in these world events, trying to figure out what happened, and how to stop the chaos from erupting into World war III.

    Melanie Amaro live MRTR

    in Pop Culture

    Celebrating Over 150 Episodes!

Hosts: Jamel, Derrick Dwayne and Flash Gotti

#MyRealTalkRadio interviews Singer/Songwriter & The X Factor USA season 1 Winner: Melanie Amaro.

The winner of the first season of The X Factor USA, Melanie Amaro drew comparisons to classic R&B divas such as Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and raised by her grandparents in the British Virgin Islands along with her two brothers and sister, Amaro grew up singing at home as well as at church, weddings, and other occasions, but never entered any talent competitions until her mother encouraged her to try out for The X Factor. Amaro sang Beyoncé's "Listen" for judges Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul (both formerly of American Idol), solo artist and former cat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, and producer L.A. Reid at the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables, Florida. She was chosen as one of the 32 finalists and sang Michael Jackson's "Will You Be There" for Cowell, who selected her as one of his singers to mentor for the season. When she didn't make the cut for the 16 finalists, Cowell decided he'd made a mistake and she became the show's 17th finalist. Amaro did well during the season, becoming one of the final three singers along with Chris Rene and Josh Krajcik; on the final episode in December 2011, she was named the show's winner, earning $1 million for herself as well as a $4 million contract with Epic Records. She also appeared in a Pepsi commercial with Elton John that aired during Super Bowl XLVI. Amaro's debut album, Truly..., featuring the single "Don't Fail Me Now,"  Melanie is currently in the studio working on a solo album which is set for release in the fall 2014.

John Carver Show - Start with Why (Simon Sinek)

    in Self Help

Several years ago I came across information by Simon Sinek.  He said that when people's WHY is big enough things change for the better (and sometimes the worse).  On this show Simon shares "Start with Why."  His speech was given a couple of years ago but the concepts are very important for all of us.

Simon Sinek says, "Do you know your Why? The purpose, cause, or belief that inspires you to do what you do. Simon Sinek's online Why Discovery course can help you learn and live your Why."

Imagine a world where people wake up every day inspired to go to work, feel safe while they are there, and return home at the end of the day feeling fulfilled by the work they do, feeling that they have contributed to something greater than themselves.

Described as “a visionary thinker with a rare intellect,” Sinek teaches leaders and organizations how to inspire people. With a bold goal to help build a world in which the vast majority of people go home everyday feeling fulfilled by their work, Sinek is leading a movement to inspire people to do the things that inspire them.

Fascinated by the leaders and companies that make the greatest impact in their organizations and in the world, those with the capacity to inspire, he has discovered some remarkable patterns about how they think, act and communicate and the environments in which people operate at their natural best. He has devoted his life to sharing his thinking in order to help other leaders and organizations inspire action.

The Week In Reviews - Sun Soul Orchestra

    in Music

Sun Soul Orchestra is an inspired project that features a rotating collection of artists performing original music and covers arranged by Stevo Théard and Ginger Murphy. Their debut album, What Matters Most has been a labor of love over the past 5 years and finally releases worldwide, physically and digitally on April 28th, 2015. On the surface it would seem that Los Angeles, California based Stevo and Ginger could not come from more disparate planets in the musical universe. Ginger came up in the highly structured, extremely regimented world of classical music training, while Stevo got most of his training on the job – at first playing nightclubs and gigging locally, then graduating into the world of international touring and recording.

The Week In Reviews - The Starchild Compact - Robert G. Williscroft

    in Books

There are three types of science fiction, there is the pixie and goblin type (fantasy), there is soft Sci-Fi, John Wyndham springs to mind, the science is there, but plays second fiddle to the to the human story. The third type is hard Sci-Fi. The story uses science in a more proactive role. The Starchild Compact most certainly belongs in this third category.

I will be sitting down with Robert G. Williscroft to discuss this book
