    Milling About with David Crosby

    in Entertainment

It appears to be a long time since David Crosby released a solo album; 20 years and counting. Croz, named for what his friends call him, is 11 tracks, some of which he wrote with his son James Raymond.   It's the amalgamation of the inevitability of time passing. Crosby tells host Robin Milling that time is a theme that has run in his songs throughout his life.

He also reflects on how his near death experience has impacted his life since, and where he is headed. He says, 'I think your time here on the planet is the most valuable resource you have. I came to that from having wasted a great deal of it. I wasted years and years of time just getting loaded or just getting laid or just being a crazy man.'

In this candid, outspoken, provocative and blatantly honest conversation, Croz talks about debunking song myths, what drove CSNY to break up, his Woodstock memories, and where he currently stands with Neil Young to name a few topics. His rants on Twitter exemplify his need to tell it like it is which he says might be a Leo trait he's always had.

No matter how much he may get in trouble for speaking his mind, the music has always been his essential means of communication which he describes as a 'lifting force on the human race.'

Radio: PI 2/18/15 with Wes Crosby

    in Hockey

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages, Pens Initiative and Radio: PI are proud to bring to you, Crosby! No, not that Crosby. Well put those frowns upside down. Mike Asti does welcome a Crosby to the Pens Initiative airwaves, Wes Crosby, of NHL.com.

The Penguins have been continuing their bipolar tendencies lately, with some big wins, but also some gutwrenching big losses. How much concern should there be over the struggles against hockey's elite? What adjustments does this team need to make to be better suited for a long playoff run? Have there been some bright spots, despite maybe it not showing up in the win column? Does it simply come down to needing more from the stars?

Mike "the Buzz-saw" Asti goes toe to toe with Crosby....!

Green Bay Packers stuff Seattle Seahawks; move to 2-0

    in Sports

The Seattle Seahawks had won three straight games but all of those wins were in Seattle. The venue on Sunday night was Lambeau Field, were the Seahawks have only won one time, in 1999. The Packers relied on key backups to come away with a 27-17 victory.

Eddie Lacy left the game, in the first quarter, with an ankle injury. James Starks took the ball 20 times and finished with 95 yards rushing.  The offensive line was missing Bryan Buluga, who had knee surgery on Saturday. Don Barclay made his first start since the 2013 playoffs and the offensive line provided protection and running lanes.  Aaron Rodgers was only sacked twice, and the Packers finished with 127 yards rushing.

Nate Palmer replaced the injured Sam Barrington at middle linebacker. The Packers defense held Marshawn Lynch to 41 yards on 15 carries, and could not get untracked.  The Packers were making initial contact in the backfield and gang tackling the powerful running back.  Russell Wilson lead the Seahawks in rushing with 71 yards, as the Packers struggled against the read option.

Two fourth quarter turnovers sealed the victory.  Special teams player Jayrone Elliott ceased his moment.  Elliott made a one handed interception on a pass inteded for Marshawn Lynch. The turnover led to a Mason Crosby field goal, and a 10 point lead.  As the Seahawks made one last surge, Elliott came up big again. He punched the ball out of Fred Jacksons grasp, and Micah Hyde recovered, with 22 seoconds left.
