James Ross has just published his 6th novel Shari's Shot. Fans of James Ross will recognize his backdrop, the Prairie Winds Golf Club and the fabulous characters that call it home. I have a huge admiration for James Ross, he has the ability to make you feel at home, you know the characters, but you never know where the story will go. With each book we get to meet new characters, in this one we have Shari and her mogul husband Tyler Cy.
Please join me forwhat I am sure will be a great discussion
We have covered the information for making the shot a few times on the show, but I like to do it at least once a year as a introduction to new folks and as a refresher for the folks who have heard it or been to a fundamentals course.
Tonight we are going to cover safety rules, why you need a sling, the different steps required to make the shot, zeroing your rifle and as much more as we can get to.
We will also have an after action for the Pecos Run and Gun in The Sun, and reminders about our upcoming BattleRoad courses. The call in number for tonight's show is 247-308-8790
Hope to see you there!
Listen to socio-political analyst Cleo Manago discuss, Two officers shot in Ferguson... Don't Shoot Them Down, Shut Them Down!
Two cops were shot in front of the Ferguson Police Department early Thursday. The shots were fired just as a small crowd of protesters began to break up after holding a demonstration in the wake of the resignation of the Ferguson police chief, who stepped down Wednesday.
St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said one officer was shot in the face, just below his right eye, with the bullet lodging behind his ear. The other officer was hit in the shoulder, and the bullet came out his back.
------As the Department of Justice prepares to release its full report into the Ferguson Police Department and Municipal Court System, it is becoming increasingly clear that the entire Ferguson Police Department may be forced to shut down.
Local authorities consistently approached law enforcement not as a means for protecting public safety, but as a way of generating revenue,” Holder said, adding that “racial bias both implicit and explicit” results in the unconstitutional execution of the law.
The thing is, though, the last department that Darren Wilson worked for, before he was allowed to transfer to the Ferguson Police Department, was also disbanded over severe issues of racism and corruption.

FERGUSON, MO (KTVI) – A shooting in Ferguson has tensions riding high between residents and police in north St. Louis County. Saturday afternoon a police involved shooting occurred at the Canfield Green apartment complex in the 2900 block of Canfield. Police say an officer from the Ferguson Police Department was involved in shooting at the apartment complex that left one man dead... Following the shooting a large crowd of residents from the apartment complex gathered at the crime scene in the middle of the apartment complex. In response to the crowd Ferguson police request additional help for crowd control from St. Louis County Police... The NAACP has also asked the Federal Bureau of Investigation to intervene in the investigation. The president of the St. Louis County NAACP Missouri State Representative Ester Haywood released the following statement: “We are hurt to hear that yet another teenaged boy has been slaughtered by law enforcement especially in light of the recent death of Eric Garner in New York who was killed for selling cigarettes... I have spoken directly with St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar, and I am confident that both he and his department will ensure that the investigation is conducted properly and that all details are kept transparent.” http://fox2now.com/2014/08/09/man-shot-killed-in-ferguson-apartment-complex/
