Close-Up spotlights Angela Grillo CFP® of South County Financial Planning

    in Finance

San Juan Capistrano, CA – Whether your retirement is just around the corner or 30 years away, a sound investment strategy can get you moving in the right direction toward a bright financial future. But retirement is about more than just your investments.

While most certified financial planners focus on the big picture, according to Angela Grillo, it’s the details that are what’s most important. Angela is the founder of South County Financial Planning, a fee-only financial planning firm. Since 2008, Angela has helped thousands of clients from all income levels coordinate their finances with their life goals.

“Everyone should have a financial plan done at least once in their lifetime, even for people who don’t have a lot of assets,” says Angela. “Even one conversation is enough to get them to start thinking about what will work out for them best.”

Before embarking on a career in financial planning, Angela had been a computer programmer. Today, Angela’s clients tend to be engineers, whom many financial planners consider to be the most difficult and demanding clients.

“If I can’t explain how the software arrived at certain figures, they won’t believe me,” says Angela. “I don’t have any difficulty with that because I’m the same way.”

Angela also works with a number of families who have children with special needs. As the mother of a 19-year-old autistic son, Angela can better assist these families, who often struggle with greater living expenses from the fees and costs for different therapies when the child is younger.

“It takes someone with personal experience to understand what the family of a disabled child is going through,” says Angela. “You spend a lot of money in their early years. I can help them head in the right direction."

"I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee" " Police Policy & Practice v The Constitution"

    in Politics

Shining a light on the incident in Dublin, GA when a police drug task force killed David Hooks in his home made me look at what policies and practice the Police use in these type of circumstances. Nationally, and, locally for me, we have had a number of recent deaths that have thrown Police practice and Policy under the microscope.  This along with the Grand Jury Process, are paramount to review and understand.,  Juxatposed with the Constitution. Joining me tonight to disucss what happened to David Hooks is Former Laurens County Deputy Sheriff Jerald "Tom" McCain. Considered an expert on the Constitutional Duties of a Sheriff in Georgia Tom is also a Certified Law Enforcement Classroom Instructor. He is the former Chief Deputy Sheriff of Johnson County, GA from 2001 to 2008 after working as a Deputy Sheriff in Laurens Cty, GA where David Hooks was killed, from 92 thru 98. He personally knows a number of the law enforcement officials involved in this case.  He will help us understand the subjects we discuss tonight. Please join us. Long time Activist, Coffee Party Newsroom Editor and Radio Host, Bobby Rodrigo's new show "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee" on Coffee Party USA Radio every Tuesday at 8:30PM. He advocates engagement, coalitions and continues to point out that the Constitution is the Rule of Law in our land and why it should remain so. His disdain for Money in Politics, the Political Party Machine and partisan blind allegiance is on full display as he advocates against the erosion of our Constitutional Protections in the name of corruption and tyranny. "If we focused on following the Constitution we would solve many of the ills of our society". Offering a long list of guests from Political Organizations, Activism, Media and Artists Bobby invites you to join him every Tuesday at 8:30PM on Coffee Party USA Radio.

Oso Landslide ~ What really happened?

    in Legal

This week we will be examining & discussing the events that led up to the Oso Landslide. This was a disaster that never had to happen but it did. Why? It was a culmination of greed, corruption & ineptitude that was responsible for the tragic loss of life that will forever be a part of our being in the Northwest. From a county exec & local senator who cared more about the builders & lining their pockets, to the Snohomish County Department of Emergency Management employee who left as the director of FEMA region 10 because it was discovered that he had a diploma from a diploma mill after a series of embarrasing emails in connetion with "Brownie" from the Katrina post catastrophe about "who was gonna git the perdiest suits" to this same man writing out a statement that all was safe at Steelhead when it was clearly KNOWN it was not. So while these people set in motion the unfathomable loss of life suffered that day, they were having affairs out of state on the taxpayer dime, running their own businesses & bidding for govt contracts while they were supposed to be taking care of residents safety. Meanwhile the DNR (Department of Natural Resources) was lining their pockets while the timber companies were clearcutting on unstable lands & obviously cutting far beyond what was agreed. It was one big horrifc culmination of failures all across the board that killed 44 people that day.
