Christian Authors on Tour (CAOT)
As Christian entrepreneurs, we know the importance of thinking positively in all situations. It helps sustain our energy for business growth and prepares us to make balanced decisions in difficult situations.
So why is it so hard to think positively all the time? The answer is going to surprise you: We believe we are thinking positively when we are instead lying to ourselves.
The difference is subtle and yet life changing. Listen in as we explore Thought Tuning™, a process developed by Shawn Sommerkamp, Executive Coach and founder of Motivationeer™ Christian Coaching.
Before and after the show, please post your questions and comments for Jory and Shawn on Jory's Facebook Business Page.
Shawn Sommerkamp is a certified professional coach with a career spanning six years in the Navy submarine service, 20 in Fortune 100 America and a dream to bring the virtues of Christ into the marketplace. Shawn is an amateur theologian who teaches God’s word to local New England churches.
Shawn created a trademarked tool that helps Christian professionals instantly unblock themselves in any situation - Thought Tuning™. Using a six step, self-talk process combined with a knowledge of one’s Core Values, Christians can now achieve what they’ve always believed as the power of positive thinking but were unable to create lasting results.
As founder of Motivationeer™ Christian Coaching, he blends business experience, corporate leadership, Bible truths and Thought Tuning™ to help Christians professionally and financially excel through transformational thinking.
The title of this teaching is "Humpty Dumpty." We know Humpty sat on a wall and had a great fall. Many people have been set on a pedestal in secular and Christian circles, and have had a Great Fall due to pride from being set in such a lofty position. Let's talk about pride and the destruction it can bring in our lives. Please check out our website @Remnantxradio.com and send me a freind request on facebook!

GOD IS KIND
TALKING TO GOD
Ask God to help you notice the ways He is kind to you and to others.
Fill a bowl with a bag of your family's favorite small treats. As a family, take turns sharing ways God has been kind to you today. Enjoy a piece of candy for each example given.
God's kindness can be personal, meant especially for one person. David experienced God's kindness, and he praised God for it, saying, "He reached down from on high and took hold of me" (Psalm 18:16).
God's kindness may also affect many people in a particular way. God shows His kindness through the ongoing provision described in Acts 14:17: "He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons."
God's kindness is part of His nature. It's easy to overlook the everyday expressions of His kindness, but as you intentionally look for them, you become more aware of God's love.
TALKING TO EACH OTHER
- Talk about a time when God has been kind to you
- Why is it important to notice God's kindness?
22Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off.
