What Parents of ADHD Kids Don’t Get

    in Self Help

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder coaches Jeff Copper (www.digcoaching.com) and Caroline Maguire (www.necoaching.com) get countless calls from parents looking for a coach for their child, teen, adolescent, or young adult. What they don’t get is that oftentimes it isn’t just the child, teen, adolescent, or young adult that needs coaching, but it is the parent. In this episode Jeff and Caroline discuss this dynamic, how it plays out, and why in many cases parents need coaching, as well. If what you are doing to help your child isn’t working, mark your calendar and listen to this show.

Attention Talk Radio is the leading site for self-help Internet radio shows focusing on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and attention deficit disorder (ADD), including managing symptoms of attention deficit disorder, adults with ADD, or adults who have children with ADHD. Attention Talk Radio, hosted by attention coach Jeff Copper, is designed to help adults and children (particularly those diagnosed with or impacted by attention deficit disorder or its symptoms) in life or business who are stuck, overwhelmed, or frustrated. It will help adults and children get unstuck and moving forward by helping to open their minds and pay attention to what works.

Attention Talk Radio host Jeff Copper is an ADHD coach. To learn more about Jeff go to www.digcoaching.com.

a more sure word of Prophecy

    in Christianity

Children must be taught that they are a part of the home firm. They are fed, and clothed, and loved, and cared for; and they must respond to these many mercies by bringing all the happiness possible into the family of which they are members. Thus they become children of God, missionaries in the home circle.

If parents neglect the education of their children, they deprive them of that which is necessary for the development of a symmetrical, all-sided character, which will be of the greatest blessing to them all through their life. If children are allowed to have their own way, they receive the idea that they must be waited upon, cared for, indulged, and amused. They think that their wishes and their will must be gratified. Educated in this way, they carry through all their religious experience the deficiencies of their home training.

    BLJ 52.3

God would have our families symbols of the family in heaven. Let parents and children bear this in mind every day, relating themselves to one another as members of the family of God. Then their lives will be of such a character as to give to the world an object lesson of what families who love God and keep His commandments may be. Christ will be glorified; His peace and grace and love will pervade the family circle like a precious perfume. A beautiful offering, in the lives of children of Christian missionaries, will be made to God. This will make the heart of Jesus glad, and will be regarded by Him as the most precious offering He can receive.

Summer time? CrossFit Games are back!

    in Sports

Sometimes I think that would be easier to write about baseball than to write about crossfit, but that will be a whole different blog (which probably I’ll keep in mind). But right now it is all about the second competition of the CrossFit Games, they were held in summer time of 2008, and they were at Dave parents’ ranch in Aroma, California.

This time they gathered around 300 athletes competing in four challenging workouts. Big difference from last year, they went from 100 fans to 800 spectators, and they were better prepared for this competition, in other words the ideas were coming together of what they wanted to achieve.

Special guests to discuss Sucession: Pastor John Henton from Chicago, IL; Bishop Stacey McQueen, Newark, NJ  and Dr. Richard L. Spaulding

Nehemiah said: 18 I also told them about the gracious hand of my God upon me and what the king had said to me.
They replied, "Let us start rebuilding." So they began this good work.  Parents pass the torch to their children. When someone retires from a job, they pass the torch to the person that takes on their job. In the church, we pass the torch from one generation to the next. (At least, any congregation that survives and thrives must pass the torch on from one generation to another.)

Our guest tonight are the parents fo Taylor Haugen

On August 30, 2008, a fifteen-year-old football player from Niceville High School sustained what proved to be a fatal injury during the ‘kick-off classic’ game. His death was caused by massive internal bleeding from a torn liver caused from impact injuries. To honor his memory and his unique character, Taylor’s close friends and community leaders created the Taylor Haugen Foundation. Over the last 7+ years, The Foundation has continued to recognize exceptional student athletes; leaders who emulate T’s very best qualities and his personal motto of Don’t Quit-Never Give Up.  Read more... http://www.nbcnews.com/health/kids-health/next-concussion-internal-injuries-are-youth-sport-danger-n181846
