Does Our Society Take Date Rape Lightly?

    in Motivation

As a victim of date rape, the psychological and emtional scars are deep and devastating.  Even though our judicial system does not consider it a violent crime, the victim's life can be shattered.  Chery Yanek joins us to share her story.  She is a regular blogger at World of Cherie and tweets at cherylkathleen.

    GOD'S GIFT SUNDAY #LesaBelle #GospelMusic 323.927.2913

    in Christianity

    Hosted By: Lesa Marie Belle

As we go about our everyday lives, we encounter highs, lows, joy, sadness and various emotions as the world has a tendency to beat us up and bring us joy all at the same time.  Some of us will take the good with the bad & keep it moving. We get home and if we're lucky we have someone to vent to and discuss our hectic day with. So many of us are going through trials and tribulations, health issues, financial troubles, living from paycheck to paycheck, or with no check.   We' re faced with heartache, disappointment, loneliness, anger, and all too often we aren't able to easily shake it off or to talk about it with someone. We keep issues bottled up, maybe because we don't feel comfortable with sharing with others or we fear judgment for the issues we have or the things we're going through. Do you find yourself looking to the heavens and asking " Why me God?"  We've all

been there and we all need to be restored! We're seeking answers and questioning "What is going on?"  Mind, body, soul & spirit need restoration.  Lord, please come by here and restore our minds, bodies, souls and spirits.

    Peace & Blessings,

Words of Wisdom Radio Program with Minister Mennie, Our Spiritual Fight Part III

    in Christianity

This radio program is designed to present the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with simplicity to win the lost. In addition, we endeavor to bring Hope and Encouragement to the Body of Christ.

The program is hosted by Minister Mennie Morrison and is sponsored by the ministry of Blessed To Be A Blessing Outreach Ministries, Inc. Evangelist Joseph Morrison is the President and CEO of BTBAB.  We  will have special guests joining us from time to time in helping us proclaim the Good News of the Gospel.  This month Minister Mennie will be contuniting a teaching series entitled "Our Spiritual Fight" and this episode will be Part III.

We are grateful for this wonderful opportunity to have this avenue to share the Word of God and we don't take it lightly or for granted. Our sincere prayer is that all those that will tune in to the program will be enriched in their walk with the Lord and that many will even come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. We give God all the Glory and Honor for what He is doing in our lives and what He will continue to do as we trust Him.

The Rhythm of Grace ...Your Place of Rest

    in Spirituality

Life operates by Seasons, Cycles and Rhythms.  Life can keep us so hurried that we forget to tap into one of God's most precious gifts...the gift of Grace.   Grace can provide the answer that you need for any situation that you face.  Grace enables you to rest and rely on God.  God desires to be your "All" in every area of your life.   Join me this evening as we discuss the Rhythm of Grace!

Pure Greatness a ministry of feeding lives...Mind, Body and Spirit!

    Matthew 11:28-30The Message (MSG)

28-30 “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

I Don't Want No Rocks to Cry Out in My Place: A Spiritual Poetry Program

    in Poetry

    A National Poetry Month Program

Due to the daily hustle and bustle of our lives, we often seek tangible ways to connect more deeply with our souls. Writing, sharing or reading poetry can provide a valuable source of spiritual support and encouragement:

Poems about beliefs that share insight to the power of connection with a higher power, spirit or nature.

Happy or joyful poems that make you rejoice in life and the essence of being.

Reflective poems about dealing with love and relationships.

Inspiring poems that encourage you to take a chance, experiment, and follow your dreams to wherever the journey leads.

Motivational poems that tip your life inspiration into action and foster growth and development.

Confronting poems that may shake you up a little, and hopefully stir you on to greater self-empowerment.

So please join us for an evening of open-mic spiritual poetry. The call-in number is 646-716-8754. The program is designed to provide an outlet for poets to share or listen to poems that bring comfort, inner peace, nourishment, and help to ease the soul. All Faiths and Beliefs Welcome! If there are questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at letpoetryring@gmx.com.
