The Frat House Sports Show #243

    in Sports

Make no mistake we cover EVERYTHING here on The Frat House Sports Show – even horse-racing!

The “fastest two minutes in sports” comes our way this Saturday with the first leg of the Triple Crown being run at Churchill Downs with the Kentucky Derby, but doesn’t it seem there isn’t quite the hype we’ve had in previous years?

Major League Baseball has one month in the books and there are some fascinating shake-ups in the early season standings. The grades are coming in for every team following the NFL Draft and there’s no consistency in opinion.

Meanwhile both the NHL and NBA Playoffs are just about at the mid-point and in some places it’s going to chalk, while in others we might be viewing a few upsets. Our NHL-NBA analyst Matt DiBiase joins us to review all of the doings plus the latest coaching changes.

So, be sure you join the Frat House Sports crew – Frat House Mike – Sidekick – Brandon and Matt DiBiase LIVE at 7 p.m. ET and your calls at 347 – 826 – 9964

Rape University - What You Don't Know

    in Entertainment

You won't believe this major University found a flier on “The Top 10 Ways To Get Away With Rape”. What exactly going on in our schools we look inside. The “Get Away with Rape” list includes tasteless suggestions like using roofies, preying on females walking alone, climbing into windows and slitting the victim’s throat if the rapist is identified, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer, University officials called a mandatory meeting of male students at the McBride Hall dorm and launched an investigation. Leaders of Women Against Violence and Sexual Assault (WAVE), an organization that aims to prevent sexual assault, said the response is inadequate.

“If I wasn’t involved with WAVE, I wouldn’t have known about this incident,” Kate Van Fossen, vice president of WAVE, told the Cincinnati Enquirer. “It could have been a joke, but the fact of the matter is that those thoughts are crossing someone’s mind. There are girls living in a hall where someone came up with that,” Van Fossen added. “It’s just disturbing.” . Do we take sexual assault to lightly? If you have been a victim of sexual assult we invite you to this conversation.

    GOD'S GIFT #LesaBelle #GospelMusic 323.927.2913

    in Music

    Hosted By: Lesa Marie Belle

As we go about our everyday lives, we encounter highs, lows, joy, sadness and various emotions as the world has a tendency to beat us up and bring us joy all at the same time.  Some of us will take the good with the bad & keep it moving. We get home and if we're lucky we have someone to vent to and discuss our hectic day with. So many of us are going through trials and tribulations, health issues, financial troubles, living from paycheck to paycheck, or with no check.   We' re faced with heartache, disappointment, loneliness, anger, and all too often we aren't able to easily shake it off or to talk about it with someone. We keep issues bottled up, maybe because we don't feel comfortable with sharing with others or we fear judgment for the issues we have or the things we're going through. Do you find yourself looking to the heavens and asking "Why me God?"  We've all been there and we all need to be restored! We're seeking answers and questioning "What is going on?"  Mind, body, soul & spirit need restoration.  Lord, please come by here and restore our minds, bodies, souls and spirits.

This radio program is designed to present the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with simplicity to win the lost. In addition, we endeavor to bring Hope and Encouragement to the Body of Christ.

The program is hosted by Minister Mennie Morrison and is sponsored by the ministry of Blessed To Be A Blessing Outreach Ministries, Inc. Evangelist Joseph Morrison is the President and CEO of BTBAB.  We will have special guests joining us from time to time in helping us proclaim the Good News of the Gospel.  This month Minister Mennie is starting a new teaching entitled "Rest In the Lord" and this episode will be Part II of this teaching.

We are grateful for this wonderful opportunity to have this avenue to share the Word of God and we don't take it lightly or for granted. Our sincere prayer is that all those that will tune in to the program will be enriched in their walk with the Lord and that many will even come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. We give God all the Glory and Honor for what He is doing in our lives and what He will continue to do as we trust Him

America's Champions with LT Dan (Ret) Navy SEAL

    in Politics

Join LT Dan as he provides insights and hope for America, and America's Champion, Dr. David Balt .

A graduate of A.T. Still University of Health Sciences/ Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1983, Dr. Dave works in Mitchell, SD and specializes in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Balt is affiliated with Avera Queen Of Peace Hospital, Mitchell, SD.

Dr. Dave recently retired from the Army Reserves as a "Full-bird Colonel" after joining the Reserves in 2004 in response to the 9/11 attacks on America. His early medical career began with service to the Navy, starting at Naval Hospital Charleston, S.C., and then in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba as the head of Emergency Medicine, where he and LT Dan met and became close friends. Dr. Dave served the Navy for 11 years before leaving the service and serving the tristate communities in the northern Midwest.

He jokes about his concern serving in a combat zone by explaining that he’s accustomed to risk: he rides motorcycles. But he quickly turns serious again.

“I don’t take it lightly, that’s for sure,” he said. “I think it’s a dangerous place. Politically, I don’t want to say whether I’m for or against the war, but I’m definitely for the soldiers. I think that they’re doing a great job in a difficult situation and they deserve our respect and our care. If I can do a little bit to help that for a little bit of time, I’m really willing to do it.”

Dr. Dave is married to the beautiful Cindy Balt and has 4 children scattered around the country. He is active in both church and community, and continues to save lives!
