    MMSRS #30 - Open Microphone!

    in Military

Join host Dave Etter on Male Military Spouse Radio Show and speak YOUR mind on anything you want - Stanley Cup playoffs? Basketball championship woes? BBQ tips? Diaper changing methods? It's all up to you, and you set the pace!

MMSRS is a weekly 2-hour web-based call-in radio show (516-453-9167), hosted by Dave Etter, focusing on the needs of men married to serving military members, both men and women. Male Military Spouses are a small niche of military spouses, comprising of only 7%-8% of all military spouses. We feel left out, usually, at support functions - especially those designed with the spouses being identified as "wives"! We get cajoled at playgrounds where our kids play, from the mommies there who think we don't belong. We are proud SAHDs, who gave up our careers to follow our spouses as they dedicate thier lives to defend our country! Here, on this show, we come together and share beer recipes, diaper changing techniques, financial discoveries - manly things, for men! Airs Fridays at Noon CT, rated R for the cussing that can occur, and available for download (podcast) immediately following each show.

EVENING OF CONNECTING WITH LOVE ONES! MEDIUM VINCENT PACE!

    in Spirituality

Medium Vincent Pace gave me the BEST 2 Medium readings of my life! Vincent Pace brought back clearly and without question, my parents who died when I was only 13 & 16 years old. It had me in tears on air, so much I had to take a break. In my 4 years doing this show I have received a lot of readings from a variety of guest and some of very top names in the psychic world but nothing like Vincent Pace readings! Some Psychics are just readers but Vincent is amazing Medium and Psychic but also very spiritually sound in his Spiritual being. The emotion he believes in spiritual beliefs is so very well founded and heard at the being of the show!...In all my years of being a musician, composer, performer, and teacher, I never in my wildest dreams thought I would be communicating with Loved ones from the other side of natural life. As I realized my gift of seeing, feeling, and hearing, of the unseen, unheard, and unfelt of the spirit world, I fully engaged in the study of the expression of this gift. I initially felt different idioms of the gift as a child yet paid no attention to it; assuming it was a normal function of life for everyone. As life progressed it became clear that perhaps this ability was truly a gift. Just as music is an expression of the innermost self, so is mediumship. To use music as an analogy; many may study music, and then many may not, yet the true expression of music which touches the inner depth of one's being, is a gift, despite one's formal training or lack thereof. We as humans do not all enter the physical world for instance, with the potential to become medical doctors , this potential represents a particular subset or configuration of energy. This law of the universe holds true for all aspects of the expression of life

The Interpersonal Connection ~ Spiritual Enrichment ~

    in Spirituality

Inspirational and Encouraging Words of Wisdom, Spirit and Life To You! 36 CHRISTIAN WAYS TO REDUCE STRESS….An Angel Says….“Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it does not happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice.” 1. Pray 2. Go to bed on time. 3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed. 4. Say no to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health. 5. Delegate tasks to capable others. 6. Simplify and unclutter your life. 7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.) 8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places. 9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together. 10. Take one day at a time. 11. Separate worries from concerns. If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety. If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it. 12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases. 13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc. 14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble. 15. Do something for the Kid in You every day. 16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line. 17. Get enough rest. 18. Eat right.  Proverbs 17:22

Create a Circle of Mentors for Success in Business and Life

    in Training

When you look at your career in today’s job market, experts say there are at least four key issues you must pay attention to: 1) job mobility, 2) globalization, 3) technology, and 4) the pace of change.

Career experts say that to keep on track you need a steady job and a robust social network. But today’s guest, Wendy Murphy, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Management at Babson College, says you need something more to grow your career. You need to build strategic relationships at work. Specifically, you need to create a circle of mentors, sponsors and peers to be more successful at work and in life.

In addition to her teaching duties, Dr. Murphy serves as the Coordinator for Mentoring Programs through the Center for Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership. She is also the co-author of “Strategic Relationships at Work: Creating Your Circle of Mentors, Sponsors, and Peers for Success in Business and Life.” Her research appears in a variety of prestigious scholarly journals.
