Do Worship Rituals keep Us Separated or Closer to TRUE Spirit Source- God?

    in Spirituality

This may be a puzzling question to you, or it may be something you've been wondering about but aren't sure where it will lead.
The very act of adoring our Creator seems to be integral to being an appropriate way to show our undying love for our Higher SELF, Christos-Spirit, God-Creator, doesn't it?  When was worship not the standard for relating to a Power so magnifient and all-pervading? After all, God is our very Source of existence. How could worship not be part of our relationship?
Such thoughts are logical, humble and speak to our hearts. The whole worship experience has an emotionally stirring feel-good quality that seems to positively support the intensity and value of worship as ideal ways to relate to our Creator. It is so powerful and the experiences are so deeply moving. This is undeniably TRUE, too.
Worship has a fundamentally social component that also feeds our souls. So, why would we ask such a question? Of course, there are two aspects to our being, yes? The innate Spirit part and the physical (body-mind) part. The questions that bubble to the surface are these:  Does worship serve the needs of a body-mind?  Does worship serve the needs of Spirit-Essence?
This is the primal bottom-line reality that makes us HU-in-man  (Spirit-in-man). We must consider both needs with equal weight. A duality world, as the one we live in, requires that we put the two together for us to have a wholism understanding. If we only consider one side of our Divinely made structure, we will not be able to know what we need to know.
This is the very reason we ask this question. TRUTH never fears the exploration, denies the discoveries, or fails to be whole. Join us and share  your interests, questions, and concerns. We support and encourage an open and honest dialog.

Lametria Marable is at Centertainment Studio "live" Tonight (Fri) @ 7pm CST

    in Christianity

Lametria, an excellent example of a motivated member of the younger generation...single mother, student, singer, and songwriter, she wears these hats simultaneously. Strength and determination has brought her to this place she stands now and despite an equal share of successes and failures, Lametria is a testimony. The testimony that the young generation needs to hear is that having faith and believing in yourself will lead to the fulfillment of all your dreams.  Lametria was born in the "Music City" of Nashville where the city itself seems to breathe the sound of music and is known worldwide for being the home of some of the world's greatest artists. She was born premature with a birth defect called Esophageal Atresia. Doctors told her parents that she wouldn't be able to talk and that she would be on a feeding tube for the rest of her life and mentally disabled with the lifespan of progressing only to the age of twelve. Before she was a week old she had three major surgeries and then two more major surgeries after that. By the time she reached three years of age her surgeries were finalized and she began to live life normally. Still overcoming obstacles, it was then noticed by her family that Lametria had a gift. A gift to perform, a passion to sing, and a God given musical ear. God saw fit to intervene and Lametria thrived as she grew up in Clarksville, TN. At the age of three Lametria began singing and humming the songs of Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Tina Turner; she often showcased her singing skills in front of family and friends. Her ultimate stage was standing before church congregations belting out old gospel songs that stirred the soul.

It's National Freedom Day - What Does It Means in 2016?

    in Spirituality

National Freedom Day is an observance established in 1948 in the U.S. that honors the signing of a resolution that proposed the 13th amendment of the nation's constitution to outlaw slavery on February 1, 1865 and recognizes that America is a symbol of freedom.

National Freedom Day was to remind us that America stands for, and is a symbol of freedom for all people. The roots of this special day come directly from the end of slavery and the signing of the 13th amendment outlawing slavery.

Celebrate this day by reflecting upon your own freedoms that you enjoy by being fortunate enough to be in America. Millions of people in the world are not free. According to americaslibrary.gov National Freedom Day is defined as:

"[t]he purpose of this holiday is to promote good feelings, harmony, and equal opportunity among all citizens and to remember that the United States is a nation dedicated to the ideal of freedom.

Major Richard Robert Wright Sr., a former slave, fought to have a day when freedom for all Americans is celebrated. When Wright got his freedom, he went on to become a successful businessman and community leader in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Major Wright chose February 1 as National Freedom Day because it was the day in 1865 that President Lincoln signed the 13th Amendment to the Constitution.

Dr Karen Huffer, Nationally recognized expert Americans with Disabilities Act

    in Family

Hosted by Marti Oakley and Debbie Dahmer

Our guest: Dr. Karin Huffer, Professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in Manhatten, New York and medical expert on Legal Abuse Syndrome, and Organizting Committee Member of at  The National Association for Probate Reform and Advocacy (NAPRA)

Courts cannot see invisible disabilities unless ADAAA is used.  Too often opposition cruelly and unlawfully accuses those with qualifying disabilities, i.e .PTSD, TBI, depression, of being “crazy” and lying as part of a ploy.  The court does not know UNLESS WE TELL THEM that for access and inclusion the PWD, person with a disability, must invoke rights to privacy, equal access, and safety under the ADAAA federal mandates.

We will be discussing the application of the ADAA and its application to the abuses in the probate system, and how it applies to those under guardianship.

    Dr. Huffers website : www.equalaccessadvocates.com

    Events that Damage Public Health

    o Faulty psychological/custody evals

o Called  “crazy” & discredited in court

    o Financial and emotional devastation

o Disability exploited not accommodated in court.

o Lies replace fact – leaving you defenseless

Dr Huffer has also authored numerous books which we will be discussing also.

Sacred Sunday~Ephesians Chapter 6/Paul is Back in Jail. Goodbye Ephesians!

    in Christianity

    Ephesians Chapter 6

Kids Today. Kids should also listen to their parents. It's right there in the 10 Commandments. No breaking curfew or sneaking out the window when you're supposed to be grounded. But on the other hand, dads shouldn't abuse their power or try to purposely tick off their kids. They should be loving and understanding and help teach their little rugrats the proper way to behave. Same thing goes for slaves: obey your masters. Don't just follow orders when the master is watching, either. Do it all the time. Because God is always watching. It might help to think of yourself as a slave for Jesus. Don't just listen and obey because some human master wants you to. Do it because God and Jesus want you to. After all, God sees all the good things you're doing and he will reward you for not being rebellious and disobedient. Okay, but masters aren't totally off the hook either. Christian slave owners have an obligation to treat their human property decently. Masters need to remember that everyone on Earth is a slave to God. Everyone has God for a master. As far as the Big Guy is concerned, there's no difference between slaves and their owners. They're all equal. In Heaven, of course. Onward Christian Soldiers. They need to put on (spiritual) armor to protect themselves from this crazy world and the devil who's running loose. Christians don't have to worry so much about flesh and blood people messing with them. It's institutions—like rulers and authorities—who can move society in a bad direction. In an evil direction. They need to put on armor so they can withstand the blows that are coming. Fasten the belt of truth and sport a breastplate of righteous. Put on shoes of peace and take a shield of faith with you. Slap on a helmet of salvation and swing the sword of the Spirit at the bad guys. He is in prison, after all. And that's the end. www.shmoop.com

    The Five Daughters of Zelophehad

    Josh. 17:3–6
What does it mean to you to know that in God's Kingdom both men and women are equal heirs?

The daughters recognized that there was room for improvement and that their cultural practices were not in harmony with what they had been taught about the Gospel of Jesus The Christ.
