My name is Hanna Aneröd and I'm a filmmaker from Sweden but I film in different countries in the world. I make films together with my husband. I've discovered that we have different qualities that need to be equally used for both our relationship to work and our company to blossom. I'm developing my feminine power more and more and know this has been a piece of the puzzle missing. I've always had a big interest in women's issues and have got great knowledge while doing documentaries the last five years. Maura Sweeney grew up in New Jersey – northern, that is and Exit 16W to be exact. I used to think I was articulate, pronouncing things like water (whaa’-tah) and coffee (kwah’-fee). I’d also reference others as “you guys” but never as “youz guys”. It wouldn’t be proper grammar for the girl voted Most Dignified in her Lyndhurst High School graduating class.
Long before Snookie and The Situation, I spent a number of very happy summers at the Jersey Shore- the brilliant sunshine, warm sand and sea air provide me with wonderful memories. At 15, I worked on the Pt. Pleasant Beach Boardwalk as a Jenkinson’s Pavilion Penny Candy girl. Literally earning pennies per hour, I was most proud to be wearing a uniform and earning my own wage!
We've got two things that the government has recently done that we might say involve selling out the people in this land. In order, and one that I probably won't spend a lot of time on, is the release of this CIA torture report. That it would seem has already made things much more difficult for our troops and for the safety of the people in this country with now apparently issuings of "high alerts" all over the place after this came out. The second thing our government has recently done to sell out its people, and this hasn't passed yet, but of course it's this $1.1 trillion Cromnibus bill that is waiting on Senate passage, and then after that certainly Obama's signature to make it official. That's where most of the time for today's show will likely be spent with various news stories and details on this issue. I'll do my best to give my opinons and analysis of it as well, with a few biblical thoughts thrown in. You can tune in live at 4:30 Eastern time and listen on the archives after that.
