Do you have a book in your head?
Statistics show that 81% of people have a story they want to write, but very few actually do it. For most, this is because they either don’t know how to enter the publishing process, or they feel their writing isn’t good enough. Self-Publishing for Profit was designed to help you overcome both of these fears by giving you detailed publishing guidance, while simultaneously helping you become a better writer.
Produced by veteran independent author and self-publisher Chris Kennedy, Self-Publishing for Profit details the plan he used to sell almost 40,000 copies of his books in his first year, after starting with nothing but a story. Not only will readers learn how to produce ebooks, but also print books, audio books, and more!
Self-Publishing for Profit is the first book that gives authors all of the tips required for success. It not only shows how to design business and marketing plans that will help them be successful in the short term, but also how to improve their writing skills for long term success. It does so without requiring large outlays of cash, giving new authors a two-pronged strategy for success that anyone can follow.
Once, in a not so long ago past writers wanted to land a big deal with the traditional publishing houses. Landing such a deal meant you've "arrived" Authors who self published their own works were looked down upon and even considered not real authors. Today's episode will discuss both the pros and cons of publishing traditionally versus self publishing.
Boy have the tables turned, Many writers are now seeing the benefits of staying independent and going the self publishing route. Come visit with us as we spend some time discussing it here on Urban Fiction News Radio with your host K.C Baylor.
Author and self-publishing expert Hank Quense shares the secrets of self-publishing your book. Have e-books replaced physical books entirely? And can you actually make money from writing books? Listen to the answers to these questions and more on your favorite personal finance show.

An award winning songwriter and author, Jon’s gritty, often irreverent style strikes a chord of contemplation. Jon demands your attention with subtle innuendo and carefully scattered satire. As a singer, songwriter and published author, Jon’s signature is intentionally provocative - and refreshingly entertaining.
The world of self-publishing looks fairly simple, right? I mean, you write a manuscript using Microsoft Word, design a cover using Adobe Photoshop, open a free (Amazon) Createspace or (Ingram) Lightning Source account, upload your files, and sit back and watch your book sales profits skyrocket - almost like magic - overnight. Sound easy, huh? So then, why do most self-published authors only sell, on average, 200 books before their title hits the wall? Even as a self-published author of only one title, you must still conduct business. And, as a business owner (entrepreneur), you must comprehensively understand the rules of engagement - like how much you need to spend and when you might expect to gain a return on your investment. Most self-published authors are 99% clueless when it comes to realistic expectations and how much money they will realistically spend throughout their self-publishing process. So then, what are the REAL costs of self-publishing a book? That is our focus on this edition of, “The Strategist Radio LIVE."
