Commendable Conduct Before God 1 Peter 2:18-25

    in Religion

1 Peter 2:18-25Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

18 [You who are] household servants, be submissive to your masters with all [proper] respect, not only to those who are kind and considerate and reasonable, but also to those who are surly (overbearing, unjust, and crooked).

19 For one is regarded favorably (is approved, acceptable, and thankworthy) if, as in the sight of God, he endures the pain of unjust suffering.

20 [After all] what [a]kind of glory [is there in it] if, when you do wrong and are punished for it, you take it patiently? But if you bear patiently with suffering [which results] when you do right and that is undeserved, it is acceptable and pleasing to God.

21 For even to this were you called [it is inseparable from your vocation]. For Christ also suffered for you, leaving you [His personal] example, so that you should follow in His footsteps.

    VERSES 22-25

Living Hope: Steps to Leaving Suffering Behind with Lynne Cockrum-Murphy

As an infant, Lynne survived a tragic house fire that claimed her father and two sisters and left her with severe burns over much of her body. She lived most of her life with a severely depressed and alcoholic mother, who shared with Lynne at five years old her thoughts of suicide. She lived through her stepfather being crushed to death in a logging accident and her mother being murdered in a bar-room robbery. After all she has been through Lynne is radiantly happy and living a life of pure service to the world.

She is here today with her new book Living Hope: Steps to Leaving Suffering Behind an Amazon #1 best seller, talking about how she went from hopelessness to hope. This is the woman you want at your side when you are in such deep pain and chronic misery that you don’t see the way out and can’t understand why bad things keep happening to you or other “good” people you love.

Today, Lynne is an intuitive consultant specializing in bringing guidance to those who seek assistance with their spiritual path, in additional to facilitating physical healing, emotional growth and removing blocks to a life of joy, meaning and purpose. She has a doctorate in education, is a licensed substance abuse counselor, an Access Bars® instructor, an advanced level ThetaHealer® and course instructor. She teaches at Northern Arizona University and maintains a private practice in Phoenix, Arizona.

PBC Allegedly losing $446,127,000 Are Rumors True? Are They In Trouble?

    in Sports

On This Super Bowl Sunday Edition, the gang will discuss the rumors of the financial losses of PBC and if they are in serious trouble or not?Waddell & Reed's Investment in Haymon: $82 mil. Remaining (of $521 mil.) as of December 31, 2015, self.Boxing
    submitted 9 days ago * by jimwilson128

Building off of my last post of the Q3 results from the mutual funds managed by Waddell & Reed that invested in Haymon:
Acquisition cost (initial value) of combined investment: $528,481,000
Value of combined investment as of September 30, 2015: $214,288,000
Value of combined investment as of December 31, 2015: $82,354,000

To date, the investment made into Media Group Holdings, Series H (which invested in Haymon Boxing) by the three Waddell & Reed funds (Ivy Asset Strategy, Ivy VIP Asset Strategy, Waddell & Reed Advisors Asset Strategy) has lost 84% of its value. At this rate, the investment will be worth zero dollars by the end of February, which implies that Haymon will run out of funding at that time.
Edit: Headline contains a typo. Should say $528 mil.

And, of course, we will be taking live calls on air from you the voice of the people. From Alumni to first-time callers, we encourage everyone to call 646-478-3068 to voice your opinion. Guardian talk with Brad

    in Military

JENNIFER ORN I have lived all over the country. I was born in MN and due to my father’s job (Federal Bureau of Prison’s) we moved around a lot. Virginia, California, Alabama, Pennsylvania and Tennessee are all on the list. When I was approximately 16, we ended up back in MN. I’ve also briefly lived in TX and OK as an adult. I received a softball scholarship out of high school to a DII school in MN. After being there for one semester, I realized it wasn’t for me. So, I enlisted in the MN Air National Guard. After completing AF basic training I completed the AF Security Forces Academy. A few months after completing all of my training I returned to my home station in St. Paul, MN. I was then sent to Desert Warfare Training with others from my unit and ultimately deployed for 6 months to Saudi Arabia. After I returned home, I continued my college education. I received my A.S. in Law enforcement and got hired on with a local police department (WI). I attended the WI State Law Enforcement Academy and I worked at that department for a little over 3 years. I ended up leaving that department to pursue a few other things. I ultimately ended up at another department in central MN. After being at this department for almost 2 years, I decided to resign.I am currently a professional dog trainer and animal behavior specialist. I attended a dog training school in TX and will be starting an internship at a dog training facility in another part of TX. I have already started my LLC (Liberty K9 LLC), and am just waiting to return home to get that going full swing.I have 3 awesome dogs, a wonderful boyfriend.

Jason Granite I am a combat Army Veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. This summer I will be braving the Colorado Trail on a backpacking journey to raise money for Nine Line Foundation so they can improve the lives of our Veterans.I’ll be hiking 75 miles with 74 other participants coming from all over the United States
