The oRiGiNaL Poetry after Dark-*Features* Secrete Emotions

    in Poetry

Tonight we feature D.C.'S own Secrete Emotions
ABOUT HER: Secrete Emotions a name that can only describe exactly what she does with words. "I'm secreting my emotions and 'Ideal Thoughts' is just the best of what came out of me". This depth of honesty she shares so easily makes secretea hypnotizing figure on CD and on stage. Secrete Emotions has been performing steadily on major stages since 2004. From the DMV area to Philadelphia and L.A.. Acoustom to performing with a variety of live bands and programmed music . Secrete Emotions a proud yet admittedly shy erotic poet. Born Tennille Young is now prepared to bare her soul through the graphically intimate music of her album. Created in the wake an intensed relationship. THe albums rather "Blue" content reflects the freedom and fearlessness she felt then combined with what she feels now. "He changed my writing" she said. "Everything I felt negative about myself he made into a postive.

Behind the Headlines: Objectivity in a subjective world - Truth versus Lies

    in News

This week on Behind the Headlines, Joe, Niall, Harrison and Bahar will be discussing the role of morality in politics (or rather, the lack of it), and will continue a discussion begun on the Truth Perspective show: the value of objectivity in a world gone mad.

What is truth and why is it important? What does it mean to ‘be objective’? If people's beliefs about the world shape their individual experiences, and ultimately co-create the world they share with others, then a world saturated with lies, (apparently) harmless myths and dangerous narratives leads people to create a world in which they (and most others) are hopelessly miserable.

Is there a solution to this profound problem? What if people changed their beliefs? Would this create a happier, more stable world, at least for those who changed? But on what basis should people change their beliefs? And why bother if the only apparent change in the external world is that it keeps getting worse?

Join us this Sunday February 14th from 12-2pm EST / 6-8pm CET / 5-7pm UTC as we get to the heart of the matter at the eleventh hour for modern civilization.

Men may hold the Key to the Solution to Failing Relationships

    in Religion

.  What was still not known or just not taught was that in order to be able to perform the third you truly needed to master the first one.  Only recently have it become known that refusing to cry is not a true mark of a man because any male who call themselves a man should never be afraid to show all of his emotions and be vulnerable especially with that one person whom he truly believes actually get him.  In other words, be all of who you are in any relationship and if you have that one true soul mate, it will blossom into a love those songs are written about and every person dream of.

    Relationships & Social Media

    in Culture

When we think about social media, do we ever consider the impact it has on relationships? Whether it be perosnal, business, professional, work etc. What impact does social media have or has on any relationship you had or currently had? When I think about social media I look at it as an outlet for people to share their views and opinions on different topics. It's a way for friends and family to stay connected with one another. Social media has given the entrepreneur an opportunity to reach potential customers.

Does social media reveal who people really are or does it hide it? Has social media turned us into zombies who have lost their identity? Do we look for validation from others or affirmation? How often do you use social media and for what reason? Can people in relationships be friends with each other? Why or why not? Join my co-host and myself as we address the issue of social media and its impact it has on relationships. #DWD

This show's objective is perpetuate peace among all people, as the foundation of all universes is based on "Mitakuye Oyas'in". The Lakota Star Knowledge definition of "Mitakuye Oyas'in" is that before you can be at peace with all the relatives throughout all universes, you must first have peace among all the relatives within your own inner universe. The mind, body, soul and emotions are all connected to each other. When you do your best in nurturing these four parts, you will establish peace within yourself. Only then are you able to be at peace with all creation around you.

    GOD'S GIFT #LesaBelle #GospelMusic 323.927.2913

    in Music

    osted By: Lesa Marie Belle

As we go about our everyday lives, we encounter highs, lows, joy, sadness and various emotions as the world has a tendency to beat us up and bring us joy all at the same time.  Some of us will take the good with the bad & keep it moving. We get home and if we're lucky we have someone to vent to and discuss our hectic day with. So many of us are going through trials and tribulations, health issues, financial troubles, living from paycheck to paycheck, or with no check.   We' re faced with heartache, disappointment, loneliness, anger, and all too often we aren't able to easily shake it off or to talk about it with someone. We keep issues bottled up, maybe because we don't feel comfortable with sharing with others or we fear judgment for the issues we have or the things we're going through. Do you find yourself looking to the heavens and asking "Why me God?"  We've all been there and we all need to be restored! We're seeking answers and questioning "What is going on?"  Mind, body, soul & spirit need restoration.  Lord, please come by here and restore our minds, bodies, souls and spirits.

    Peace & Blessings,

    Lesa M. Belle
