Sharon Weil engages with author/activist-awakener, Paul Rogat Loeb. Paul Loeb wrote the book on citizen engagement and activism in Soul of a Citizen, The Impossible Will Take a Little While, and several other seminal books. A true awakener, Paul discusses the simple steps one can take towards greater, effective, grassroots involvement in social action for important issues – leading from the heart to help change the world, one action at a time. Loeb says, “You do something…and you don’t know where it will lead.” www.theimpossible.org www.paulloeb.org

What goes better together then cars and drinking....wait, maybe that came out wrong. How about just kicking back and talking about cars and the automotive world while you enjoy a stiff drink, tasty brew, or a fancy cocktail? Awww thats better. We will attempt to cover all those bases in this show we present to you on Fridays! What the hell is going in new cars and the automotive culture in general? Find out with Matt and Jay every week, oh yeah and enjoy a night cap:)
This week we talk about the "the hill" better known as Pikes Peak where every year hundreds of vehicles ranging from super bikes to wildly modified semi tractors try to rocket up the 12 mile 156 turn run to the summit faster than any in their class. The standing record is 8:13.878 set in 2013 by 9 time WRC champ Sebastien Loeb. While we don't expect that to fall, we do expect some amazing action out here. We run into current Pirelli World Challenge pilot Mike Skeen, and talk about his attempt this year on the hill in his insane Nissan GTR (Pikes Peak Special) - Braking up hill, and packing a parachute!
We end the episode talking about our favorite summer time brews in the venerable full body IPAs. If it was good enough for pirates it's good enough for us!

What an exciting show is in store for you! Al DeGregoris is back with a new CD and Lisa Engelken is making the trek from West Coast to East! Music from BOTH amazing artists? You better believe it!
Al's background is both wondrous and serene. He gravitated to piano at 4, sax at 6, and had songs and his first band under his belt at 7! By 12, he was a paid pro, insatiable for more learning and playing. A source of pride in his native New York, Al received his Bachelor's in Music Merchandising - AND excelled in law at Hofstra University! Straddling the legal and the musical highways, Al was determined to get involved in EVERY way. So, he found the means to design his own production studio that made a splash. Composing, recording, honing his skills on keys, and producing - well, let's just say that his multiple talents have paid off! Al's third project, "All in Good Time", is based on something poignant that his beloved parents used to say. Help in delivering the message: Nils, Jeff Lorber, Eric Marienthal, Chuck Loeb, and the late Ricky Lawson.
Like Al, this is Lisa's second visit - and she's ready to spread the news! Not only about her big events on the East Coast, but also what ELSE she has up her sleeve. This consummate artist is at full throttle ALWAYS; singing in Portuguese, Spanish, French and Italian - the culture and music of which she has swallowed WHOLE for years - even earning a fellowship to Italy to pursue studies. Her operatic and theatrical training, the sextet and quintet that she co-founded in Washington, D.C., her award-winning performance in "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" in San Francisco - did I mention how fascinating Lisa is? The youngest of 13 children from Big Skies, Kansas has made a SPLASH internationally - to RAVE reviews! "Little Warrior" tracks are on tap - join us!
Join Charlotte View for an exclusive, interview with scriptwritter and crew members of critically acclaimed, award-winning movie "Moving Mountains," based on the true story of Patricia Bragg, who grew up in Mooresville, NC. The movie tells the story of Trish Bragg of Pie, WV in Mingo County, as she and her friends struggled for safe drinking water after a deep mine destroyed their wells. A story of faith, hope and perseverance that will stay with you long after the movie ends. Based on the book, "Moving Mountains," written by Penny Loeb. This film-festival favorite is being shown at AmStar 14 in Mooresville, NC on October 6th 2014
In 1994, Trish Bragg was a coal miner's wife, struggling to get by. Then a vast deep mine destroyed her neighbors' water wells. Guided by her strong faith, she and her friends stood up to a billion-dollar coal company and government bureaucracy. This movie is the struggle of a people, desperately battling to keep their way of life , their lands, and their families and homes intact. A group of citizens battle to change a mind set that has remained in Appalachia for many years. “One simply does not fight the coal mining company". These companies are powerful entities with finances, machinery, and backing of our government; but fight back we did! In the end, they made history.
During this interview, Penny Loeb, T Paige Dalporto, Paul C Brown, Austin Jetton and Patricia Bragg will talk about their journey of discovery, lucky breaks, frustrating obstacles, collaboration, fear of failure, etc

On Sunday I was fortunate to be able to travel to New York City and join the 400,000 people who came together for the People's Climate March, the largest such action ever and a most amazing and hopeful day. On this week's Voices I am greatly honored to welcome another marcher, Rema Loeb, for what will be a lively and rich conversation about our experiences at this incredible event.
Rema is a life-long activist and devoted Earth-advocate stretching back to the early 1960s when she and her husband, Eric, became involved with the Civil Rights Movement soon followed by the efforts to end the war in Vietnam. She told me that often they'd "divide up", one of them attending a peace gathering, the other going off to a Civil Rights action. Our paths crossed a few years ago at anti-fracking events taking place in the Southern Tier of New York State. Upon meeting her I knew I was in the presence of a wise Elder and passionate Earth-lover who unabashedly spoke her truth and "walked her talk". You will be so glad to have met Rema Loeb here on Voices of the Earth. We encourage you to join the conversation!
The slide show photos are of course images I captured on this momentous day....enjoy

JEWS CONTROL THE MONEY IN AMERICA. Period. End of story.Zionist Jews own and run the Federal Reserve Bank that the US government continually borrows from...and is in debt to.
Napoleon said: When a government is dependent for money upon the bankers, they and not the government leaders control the nation. This is because the hand that gives is above the hand that takes. Financiers are without patriotism and without decency.
The Federal Reserve Bank is a consortium of 9 Zionist Jewish-owned & associated banks with the Rothschilds at the head:
$1. Rothschild Banks of London and Berlin.
$2. Lazard Brothers Banks of Paris.
$3. Israel Moses Seif Banks of Italy.
$4. Warburg Bank of Hamburg and Amsterdam.
$5. Lehman Brothers of NY.
$6. Kuhn, Loeb Bank of NY (Now Shearson American Express).
$7. Goldman, Sachs of NY.
$8. National Bank of Commerce NY/Morgan Guaranty Trust (J. P. Morgan Bank - Equitable Life - Levi P. Morton are principal shareholders).
$9. Hanover Trust of NY (William and David Rockefeller & Chase National Bank NY are principal shareholders).
TIME LINE OF THE JEW-OWNED FEDERAL RESERVE BANK
1791-1811: Rothschilds' First Bank of the United States.
1816-1836: Rothschilds' Second Bank of the United States.
1837-1862: Free Banking Era - no formal Central Bank through the efforts of President Andrew Jackson.
1862-1913: System of National Banks through the efforts of President Andrew Jackson.
1913-Current: Federal Reserve Act effects a consortium of privately held Jewish & associated banks called the Federal Reserve Bank. The largest shareholders of the Federal Reserve Bank are the Rothschilds of London holding 57% of the stock which is not available for public trading.
On May 23 1933, Congressman Louis T. McFadden brought impeachment charges against the members of the Federal Reserve Bank.
Glynis grew up as the youngest of three children in Rockland County, New York. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern University and worked in Social Service for two years before transitioning to Human Resources. After thirteen years in Human Resources, she decided to make good on her promise to write a book. Rather than detailing the years of bizarre employee relations issues she had encountered (as this may land her in more than a bit of trouble), she elected to write the story of how she met and married her husband, Sebastien, in six short months.
What woman wouldn’t want to be swept off of her feet by a handsome young Frenchman? Glynis decided that it was time that a dose of reality were included to complete the picture. The end result, French Twist, is humorous, sweet and undeniably real. And because this novel chronicles merely the beginning of an epic love story, Glynis has just released the sequel, French Toast, and is working on the final installment in the series, French Fry.
Unfortunately, Glynis’ parents, who were so lovingly memorialized in French Twist did not live to see its production. She imagines them holed up in a coffee shop in another realm arguing about who was misrepresented more. She is sure that her father has made a list of edits…
Glynis currently lives in Westchester, New York with her incredibly romantic husband and two angelic sons. When she is not writing she is usually rushing to the gym, wracking her brain to remember third grade math to help her son with his homework, rescuing toys from certain destruction down the toilet and keeping a tenuous hold on her sanity by consuming whatever chocolate is in the vicinity.
