NWP welcomes super chef, Pierre Thiam!
Chef, restaurateur, and cookbook author, Pierre Thiam was raised in Dakar, Senegal, a bustling and culturally diverse metropolis on the west coast of Africa. Although he developed an interest in the culinary arts at an early age, he studied physics and chemistry from the city’s Cheikh Anta Diop University. Thiam moved to New York in the late 1980s where he began working in a number of restaurants. His bottom-level entry steadily led upward, and by 2001 he opened his first restaurant, Yolele, a visionary African bistro in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. His second outlet, Le Grand-Dakar Restaurant followed, opening in neighboring Clinton Hill three years later; it quickly became a culinary and cultural locus for Africans from the continent and the Diaspora. Currently he owns Pierre Thiam Catering, which introduces a diverse, savvy New York clientele to contemporary interpretations of ethnic flavors; he also serves as consulting chef for a number of restaurants in the City and beyond. http://PierreThiam.com

Have you ever wished you had help deciding which Pitcher you should pick up on the Waiver Wire? Or wondering who you should start on your football team this week? How about being in need of a Draft Strategy? Well your wish is about to come true, that’s right, Fantasy JAM is back on the air, and it will be BETTER than ever.
Hosted by a man who has being Fantasy Football so long, he once drafted Tony Dorsett as his Running Back, Chad “The Buffalo” Setera. There may be no more knowledgeable Fantasy player in the world than The Buffalo. Besides years of experience playing the game, he has also been a commissioner of many leagues and hosted podcasts about it for years. There is also no-one in the world who can quite control his partner like Chad, and make him focus.
His partner in this foray is Andrew “Fish” Fain. Having worked in the Sports industry for the past 20+ years, there are few people who have and can get the same inside info as Fish. He has played Fantasy Sports since the early 90’s and is even a member of the FSWA (Fantasy Sports Writers of America). There are very few people who are as loud, or as opinionated as Fish, so no matter what questions you may have, he will always have an answer, even if it is one you don’t want to hear.
But this show is so much more than just 2 guys spouting their opinions. This is the FIRST Fantasy Show that wants you to participate. Every week, we will publish an article on The Inscriber Digital Magazine that will have FIVE debate topics. We will finish those debates on the show, and invite to voice your opinion too.
So if you don’t want the same old same old when it comes to Fantasy advice and more, give Fantasy JAM a listen, I promise you will be hooked.
The Dog Show with Julie Forbes hosts its annual episode highlighting the Vashon Sheepdog Classic, a sheepdog trial just west of Seatte, WA on Vashon Island. Today, author Donald McCaig will talk with Julie about traveling Scotland to find his next border collie and about herding dogs in general. "The Mark Twain of dog writers", Mr. McCaig's books are entertaining and make you feel the cold mist of Scotland as if you were there.
Also included are discussions about working with dogs and what we can learn from herding to apply to pet dog training.
Pete Carroll will never dodge his play call, in the Super Bowl. However, there are more important things on Carroll's mind, as the 2015 season starts. The biggest concern is how will the Seahawks win the NFC West, for a third consecutive year. The St. Louis Rams have used additional picks, from the trade with Washington to stockpile young talented players. Often injured Sam Bradford is no longer the quarterback. The Rams traded for Nick Foles, who is coming off a broken collarbone. However, the addition of Todd Gurley could solidify the running game.
Carson Palmer is returning from a knee injury, in Arizona. He hopes that he can continue were he left off last season. The Cardinals defense willed them to a playoff berth, after a carousel of quarterbacks stood behind center. Still a major concern is running back. Andre Ellington is the starter, but can he handle the workload?
The fiasco with Jim Harbaugh is over, and the San Francisco 49ers have moved on. A suprise move to many, they named defensive line coach Jim Tomsula, head coach. Nothing went right for the 49ers one year ago. Chris Boreland looked to be a budding star but opted to retire, after one season. Defensively, they are going to have to try and find an indentiy. Offensively, long time running back Frank Gore has departed. This opens the door for Carlos Hyde to be the primary back. Will Tomsula work with Colin Kaepernick, or try to make him a pocket passer. There are many questions surrounding the 49ers?
Finally, Jimmy Graham is the answer inside the red zone, according to Seattle Seahawk fans. After back to back Super Bowl appearences, the Seahawks traded for one of the best tight ends, in the NFL. The biggest loss is the person whom they traded, Max Unger. Russell Wilson is a scrambling quarterback, but you still need to protect him.
