Sean Kanan is an internationally renowned actor best known for is iconic role as Deacon Sharpe in the daytime drama The Bold and the Beautiful. He recently reprised the role of A. J. Quartermaine on the ABC daytime drama, General Hospital. Sean has been a hard-working actor ever since receiving his degree from UCLA. Shortly after graduation, he landed one of the major roles in the megahit Karate Kid III, starring as Ralph Macchio’s nemesis. He followed quickly followed with roles on the TV series produced by Francis Ford Coppola’s The Outsiders, and Oliver Stone’s Wild Palms. He subsequently moved to network television with roles on General Hospital, Sunset Beach, The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Young and the Restless. Recently, with soap opera fans clamoring for his return, Sean revived his role as Deacon Sharpe on The Young and The Restless, the show from which The Bold and The Beautiful was spun off.Sean also recently completed filming of Prodigal, the directorial debut Julie Pacino, the daughter of Al Pacino, in which he was cast as in the leading role. Other TV credits include guest roles on Freddy, Who’s the Boss?, VIP, The Nanny, Walker: Texas Ranger, Lois and Clark, and True Jackson VP. Film credits include Hack, where he starred and served as Executive Producer, as well as the comedy, Chump Change, the action films Chaos Factor and Extreme Limits, and the independent film 10 Attitudes. Sean drops by on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at 5pm EST, to discuss his return to General Hospital & his impeccable career.

THE 21st CENTURY GENTLEMAN
Sean Kanan's first big break came when he was cast in "The Karate Kid, Part 3," directed by Academy Award winner, John Avildsen. He went on to star in the FOX series, "The Outsiders," later joining the cast of the ABC daytime show, "General Hospital," playing A.J. Quartermaine, from 1993-7, which resulted in his being nominated for Outstanding Newcomer in Soap Opera Digest's awards. He joined the cast of "Sunset Beach," on NBC, as Jude Cavanaugh, until the show was cancelled. Sean wrote and executive produced "Chasing Holden," and joined the cast of the CBS daytime hit, "The Bold and the Beautiful," playing bad boy Deacon Sharpe for nearly four years.
Since leaving "The Bold and the Beautiful" in 2005, Sean has starred in several feature films, and competed in the third season of the Italian version of "Dancing With The Stars," in 2006. In 2009, Kanan starred in the Indie film, "Prodigal," directed by Al Pacino's daughter, Julie Pacino, considered at the Cannes Film Festival. In late April 2010, Sean was cast in two Indie comedy horror films, "Watch Island," and "Slayers." His newest film, "My Trip To The Dark Side," was written and directed by Emmy Award-winner, Shane Stanley.
Grateful fans are happy to see Sean back on daytime, currently appearing in "The Bold and the Beautiful" sister show, the award winning, "The Young and the Restless," reprising his 'Deacon Sharpe' role.
