While in school, Michael was a member of the sketch/improv comedy troupe, a weekly columnist for the newspaper, a writer and actor for the college TV station and the host of a weekly radio show. Soon after graduating, Michael wrote Subway, his first screenplay. During this same period, he studied acting with William Esper and John Dapolito. His screenplay Inspiration Therapy was optioned by World Film Services and several other scripts were finalists in national screenplay competitions like Project Greenlight and Final Draft Big Break. A member of the Writers Guild of America, Michael’s teleplay Brainstorm, which he wrote in the traumatic aftermath of the 2008 presidential election, was developed by World Film Services and shopped to various networks. Shortly after, he was hired to write a biographical novel which would become his second book, Broken. As an actor, Michael is a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild and has appeared in numerous independent films. In June of 2008, Michael wrote the first draft of Maybe Tomorrow. Please join host Jason Wade Taylor/Randy Hahn LIVE @ 10:00pm EST for three hours of hard hitting Conservative radio. Does Social Media Promote Violence is tonight’s topic, and question.
I often say that social media is a powerful monster and with power, comes responsibility. If you use it for constructive means, it pays off. If you don’t get it right, you pay for it. Though it’s hard to believe, social media has been directly or indirectly associated with a large number of incidents related to violence, terrorism and uprisings all over the world.
If terrorism requires an audience, then the recent mainstream adoption of social media may be giving violent actors a bigger stage than ever before. There are many reasons people lash out at the world, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to suggest that becoming the center of the attention could be a factor pushing some to commit atrocities. Our retweets could be delivering their messages of fear, and how much of a role has it played in the recent actions in the middle east.

Do you ever think of yourselves as alchemists??? Is that an ingredient of LivingEden??? What do you think??? What is an alchemist??? Walking the pilgrimage of the rainforests brought up the essence of alchemy for me along the way. I also remembered the movie "The Way" which is a pilgrimage of the El Camino. I highly recommend you watch either for the first time or again. Watch it as if YOU are the one walking it with the actors/actresses. Feel what happens to them, be there, taste what they eat, experience what they experience, smell what they are smelling and hear what they are hearing. Then again take a walk through the rainforest the same way and meet the people who live there in peace, abundance, non-competition, wise, in communion with nature and the animals. Then think of alchemy, what is it and how does it pertain to LivingEden. Please send in needs to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be alchemists for each other and discover what happens. We will also pick a card for someone who calls in live while we are on the show. (We will not do the card on the show but will need your information to get in touch with you afterwards.)

I thought it was time to revisit some of my humanitarian shows. Adrian Suskin has been living in this country for well over twenty years, but he was born and raised in Zimbabwe. It was very painful to him to watch what became of his country. In this show, he talks about what has happened to the country – good and bad – since Robert Mugabe took office.
Did you know Zimbabwe used to be known as the Breadbasket of Africa? And they had a literacy rate of 98%. 98%! But then, farms that had fed Zimbabwe, and helped other countries, and housed thousands of people and educated their children, now produce next to nothing and employ next to no one.
Adrian and some friends set up Zimkids, an orphans village. They feed and educate them, teach them usable skills, all kinds of great stuff. Adrian is also a cancer survivor several times over and just won't quit.
In this show, we make reference to a couple of movies and I got the actors a little mixed up. Djimon Hounsou was in Blood Diamond, as Adrian says. He was not in the TV movie, Master Harold And The Boys, as I said. That was Zakes Mokae.
