Scott Lowell is best known for his role as “Ted Schmidt” in Showtime’s popular and critically acclaimed Queer As Folk for which he was twice nominated for a Prism Award. The groundbreaking and provocative series originally ran in the U.S from 2000 –2005 and is currently airing in countries all over the world. Scott was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in the suburbs of New Haven, Connecticut. He majored in theater at Connecticut College and also studied acting at the National Theatre Institute (he was fortunate to study at both schools with the legendary Morris Carnovsky). He shortly moved to Chicago where over the course of a decade, he immersed himself in the local theater scene, including performances at the famed Steppenwolf and Goodman. He also landed his first TV role in Chicago on Early Edition. Scott moved to Los Angeles in 1998 and quickly found himself busy in a number of successful commercial campaigns, guest roles on sit-coms and a lead in a sci-fi television film. In 2000 he landedQAF and spent the next five years shuttling back and forth between LA and Toronto, Canada where the series was filmed. He also kept busy traveling around making speeches for a number of civil rights organizations (including the Human Rights Campaign) and political campaigns as well as appearing as a presenter and Host of a number of GLAAD Awards shows. We go into some music history in light of the recent passing of Earth Wind & Fire's Maurice White (December 19, 1941 – February 3/4, 2016).
Some question whether this death is recieving fair media coverage. One Facebook post from EWF fanpage "The Legendary Earth Wind & Fire stated:
I'm sitting here going through the New York Daily News and he only received a small article on page 30. A couple of weeks ago when David Bowie and later Glen Frey they both received front page news. I hope the music industry does a better job of paying homage to someone who influenced many a musician. It would be befitting if at the Grammys when they receive the Lifetime Achievement Award they put that as a main part of the show instead of the backdrop as they normally do with this award. No disrespect to Bowie or Frey they deserve that recognition but Maurice does as well.
We explore the contributions, music and legacy of White, from one of the first of many members of his best-selling band and how they rose to the top to compete with even the Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppellin, and Chicago in terms of sheer record sales, as well as many of the other funk/fusion bands of their era like Rufus, Ohio Players, Funkadelic and Parliament.

Since it's so close to Valentines, and people from all over the world search for that special someone, we bring Janie Terrazas back to Spaced Out Radio, as she, along with husband Luis, are the Love Coaches. www.thelovecoaches.com. Together, they help mend hearts, and can help people, more importantly, find the value in themselves to have the confidence to find that special someone.
Janie has faced many adversities, heartaches and unfortunate circumstances when it came to relationships, career and life in general. When I discovered that we play a big part in creating our own trials and tribulations it was the start of a MAJOR AWAKENING!
Through a wide variety of studies, meditation and a lot of soul searching, I found the secrets to changing my life for the better. In the process, I found my light (my true self) and discovered how to tap into the most inner part of a man’s heart. I am passionate about sharing this knowledge with other women, so they too can find their light and experience extraordinary love.
I, like most, believed if I had the ideal job, the ideal relationship, financial success, etc. I would be happy. The hard cold truth is nothing external can bring you internal happiness. I am committed to making a conscious choice every day to be loving, happy, and grateful regardless of what life throws my way.
It isn’t an easy mentality to master, but it is possible. More and more people are waking up and recognizing that happiness is a choice…a state of mind. We are grateful that we get to assist others with cleansing their minds and opening their hearts, so they too can experience DIVINE LOVE!
