In July of this year, MyDirectives was honored with the 2013 Healthcare Startup of the Year award and has been recognized by National Coordinator for Health IT Farzad Mostashari as one of the first small businesses to become fully compatible with the government’s new Blue Button® system.

Join us this week on Christian Devotions SPEAK UP! as host Scott McCausey speaks to Scott Brown about the priority of Christ, recognizing the importance of leadership within the walls of homes and abroad through God’s mandates.
Scott T. Brown is a pastor at Hope Baptist Church and the director of the National Center for Family-Integrated Churches, spending his time as an expository preacher and helping people think through the two greatest institutions God has provided — the church and the family. Scott graduated from California State University in Fullerton with a degree in history and received a Master of Divinity degree from Talbot School of Theology.
The heart of his message is that Scripture is sufficient to address any subject. That is why his driving passion is to study the Bible for answers to all of life’s questions, whether they be about the church, the family, leadership, or anything else.
Scott views his job as a speaker not as a means to communicate his own innovative ideas, but to simply apply the Word of God to the issues of today. His greatest desire is to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ, to explain the beauty of His Kingdom, and to call everyone to understand and recognize the power of the gospel.

Meet author Richard Tiller. Richard will be chatting with me about his book, Tough Conversations with the Heart of Jesus.
About the book:
If you will ever have to face another tough conversation, this book was written for you. Tough Conversations with the Heart of Jesus offers a Biblical perspective on how to anticipate and engage in these encounters in a way that will achieve the best results for everyone involved. The key to success in tough conversations lies in the heart. Skills are important, too, but if you have the right heart for tough conversations, the skills come more easily. Jesus shows the right heart for tough conversations. The biggest obstacle to success in tough conversations is fear. Eliminating fear changes everything. Jesus shows how to replace fear with courage, anxiety with calm, weakness with strength, insecurity with confidence, and pessimism with optimism. Tough conversations have been some of the most difficult challenges that human civilization has faced throughout history.
