Happy New Year football fans and welcome back to another season of Ravens Monday Night Quarterback, presented by Fanspeak.com, Premier Designs Jewelry, and Fan Duel.com.
Tonight at 9:00 p.m., join Alan Zlotorzynski (Fanspeak.com & The Birds of Baltimore) and Nathan Hardester for two hours of non-stop football talk----Baltimore Ravens style. Training camp has arrived for the two time league champs and with the season’s first game just 48 days away, the purple and black are ready to get back to work.
But before we dive into position battles, fantasy football drafts are in full swing and the guys will welcome back to the show, for a third straight season, Fantasy Football expert and author, B.J. Rudell. Author of the top selling book, Fantasy Football for Winners: The Kick-Ass Guide to Dominating Your League From the World's Foremost Fantasologist, B.J. has worked as a congressional aide, civics teacher, writer, editor, and improv comedy performer and teacher. B.J. has placed in the top 0.11% in nine national competitions--including two first place finishes versus nearly 400,000 opponents combined.
B.J. will tell us which Ravens may and may not help your fantasy team, as well as other top fantasy studs from around the NFL.
Following B.J.’s appearance, it’s on to the Ravens. After finishing a disappointing 8-8 last season and failing to make to the playoffs for the first time during the Harbaugh-Flacco era, change is in the air at Camp Harbaugh this year. Alan & Nathan will profile and breakdown every aspect of what you can expect and look for in the 2014 Ravens summer camp. From first round pick CJ Mosley to late free agent pickup Aaron Ross, the guys will profile the new faces around camp this summer. Show time is 9:00 p.m. and will run for two hours. You can follow Alan on Twitter @zlotsports.
Many people in recovery struggle with both alcohol AND food disorders. This issue is so common you often hear food addiction referred to as a "sister" addiction to alcoholism.
We have had many requests for a show that addresses the particular challenges for people in recovery who struggle with both, so we are thrilled to welcome Alison Ross, LMFT to our show!
Alison is a licensed psychotherapist and the Founder of Center for Eating Recovery where she helps women and men of all ages heal their relationship with food and become body-confident. In addition to her work at the Center, she is a consultant for Harmony Place a drug and alcohol treatment center, and formerly Beit T’Shuvah, where she helps to create an environment in which women can heal their relationship with food and body while adjusting to sobriety.
On the show, Alison and Carissa, an Eating Coach at the Center, discuss three cultural narratives that keep us stuck in food addiction and body image distress and how to break free and get healthy from the inside-out.

YOUTH ACHIEVERS USA INSTITUTE (YouthUSA) promotes asset building through its capacity-building program, THE ANNUAL YOUTH ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS. Since 1996, the program has partnered with families, churches and community groups to qualify youth as “assets” instead of liabilities to their communities. A total of 86 young Americans now qualify as beneficiaries within the YouthUSA Corporate Village. A free online application is available to any American citizen, age 7-24. Each application presents “a vision of the future” through the youth’s goals in seven categories. A “Whole Village” of 20 caring adults each invest $5 to establish a $100 savings asset in a partnering bank. Join us 12 noon eastern, 11 am central, 9 am on the west coast for A WAY OUT on YouthUSA Radio www.YouthUSA.net.
Roughly two-thirds of Black and one-third of Hispanic children live with only one parent. Moreover, research suggests that a father's absence increases the risk of his Black child dropping out of school by 75 percent. And even in the 21st Century information age, too many Americans still live in poverty. If you have read the report to The President of the United States, we’d like to hear your thoughts on My Brother’s Keeper. We're looking at the symbols, practices and promises that strengthen our communities and secure our nation. It's Flag Day 2014 on YouthUSA Radio www.YouthUSA.net.
