In this episode, Linda discusses what a rare condition infantile scoliosis is, what it's like to be part of her son's physical therapy team, and the big gains her little patient is making. Evan's pediatric physical therapist joins her.

July 17, 2014: Back pain is common, but for Barbara Jones, it created a domino effect that affected her whole body. As a teenager, she had rod fusion surgery to address a severe case of scoliosis. Years later, she had back surgery again to address symptoms of degenerative disk disease.
In this episode, she and her physical therapist discuss how these conditions didn't just affect her back, but her whole body. She had severe tightness throughout her whole body that affected her mobility and ability to exercise, and ultimately caused her to tear a rotator cuff.

About our Guest
Belinda Farrell, author of the book Find Your Friggin’ Joy, graduated with a BA in Spanish and English from the University of California at Berkeley and is trained in hypnotherapy, past life regression, NLP, Hawaiian chanting, and ancient Hawaiian healing (Huna). Belinda trained with Anthony Robbins and has effectively used these skills in her own life. She has completed 18 firewalks.
When Belinda was forty-eight, she collapsed with herniated discs and spinal nerve damage. Threatened with paralysis by her medical doctors if she didn’t have surgery, Belinda instead chose to apply the ancient Hawaiian healing practices she had been learning the previous three years, which are covered in this book. Her back completely healed, including childhood scoliosis. For fifteen years she has been sharing these healing practices with others, offering Reconnective Healing and Huna classes and taking clients to Hawaii to teach Huna and swim with wild spinner dolphins.
Today's special guest is Quikiks Founder Steve Kaufman.
So, what exactly is Quikiks? For people with arthritis or anyone who struggles with a task as simple as putting on shoes, the Quikiks Step-in-Go Shoe System offers a hands-free solution. The shoes easily open and close using hinges and magnets. Simply step into the shoes for a secure fit and strike the back of your heel to remove. No need to bother with laces or Velcro. How easy is that?!
Listen in to our conversation with Steve about Quikiks.

Mike Ferry - wrote a book showing how we can help kids develop habits for happiness and success in life. I'm sharing the message with anyone who cares about kids and their long-term well-being. Happiness leads to success, and we can become happier people if we develop certain habits. We can teach our kids these habits. Also, it is possible to become more creative over time. This is great news, because our kids will need to create a safer, more prosperous, and more sustainable future.
