HEBREWS 8: 1-13
vs. 1. [ Because Of A Better Position 7: 3; 7: 26; 9: 23- 28; 10: 19- 23 ]
Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum; We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven;
vs. 2. [ Because of a better ministry in a better tabernacle ( 7: 19, 25, 27-28; 9: 11 - 28 )
A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
vs. 3. For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
vs. 4. For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are ptiests that offer gifts according to the law :
vs. 5. Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
[ Because he is a Mediator of a better covenant based upon better promises ( 7: 22, 8: 1-13; 9: 14-28) ]
vs. 6. But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
[ Christ covenant better than the Old Covenant 8:7-10: 18 ] vs. 7. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. vs. 8. For finding fault with them, he saith; Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
ROMANS 12: 1- 16
vs. 1. I Beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice , holy acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
vs. 2. And be not conformed to this world by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect will of God.
vs. 3. For I say through the grace given unto me, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt with every man the measure of faith.
vs. 4. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
vs. 5. so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
vs. 6. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
vs. 7. Or Ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth on teaching;
vs. 8. Or he that wxhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence, he that sheweth mercy, with Cheerfulness.
vs. 9. Let Love be without dissimulation, Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
vs. 10. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.
vs. 11. Not slothful in business, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;
Genesis 24: 28 - 49 ELIEZER'S RECEPTION
And the damsel ran, and told them of her mother's house these things.
vs. 29. And Rebekah had a brother, and his name was Laban: and Laban ran out unto the man unto the well
vs. 30. And it came to pass when he saw the earring and bracelets upon his sister's hands, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying Thus spake the man unto me; that he came unto the man; and, behold, he stood by the camels at the well.
vs. 31. And he said, come in thou blessed of the LORD; wherefore standeth thou without ? For I have prepared the house and room for the Camels.
vs. 32. And the man came into the house : and he ungirded his Camels, and gave straw and provender for the Camels, and water to wash his feet, and the men's feet that were with him.

vs. 37. And my master made me swear, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife to my son of the daughters of the Caananites in whose land I dwell: vs. 38. But thou shalt go unto my father's house,...........
Genesis 24: 1- 21 MARRIAGE OF ISAAC:
vs. 10. And the servant took ten camels of the Camels of his Master, and departed; for all the goods of his Master were in his hand: and he arose and went to Mesopotamia, unto the city of Nahor.
vs. 11. And he made his Camels to kneel down without the city by a well of water at the time of the evening, even at the time that the women go out to draw water.
ELIEZER'S PRAYER : And he said, O Lord God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and show kindness unto my Master Abraham,
vs. 13. Behold I stand here by the well of water, and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water.
vs. 14. And let it come to pass that the damsel to whom I shall say. let down thy pitcher, I pray thee that I may drink, and she shall say, Drink and I will give thy Camels drink also: let the same be she whom God has appointed for thy servant Isaac, and thereby I shall know that thoust hast shown kindness unto my Master.

The Old Covenant was only a shadow. of The Realities Of The New Covenant.
vs. 4. For It Is not Possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
vs. 5. Wherefore when he cometh into the world he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
vs.6. I burnt offering and sacrifices thou hast had no pleasure.
vs. 7. Then said I, Lo, I come ( In the Volume of the Book it is written of me, ) to do thy will, O God.
vs. 8. Above when when he said , Sacrifice and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldet not, neither hath pleasure in therein; which are offered by the law;
vs. 9. Then said he, Lo. I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the First, that he may establish the second.
vs. 12. But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
vs. 13. From hence forth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
vs. 14. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
vs. 15. Whereof the Holy Ghost also is witness to us; for after that he had said before.
vs. 16. This nis the nCovenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
vs. 17. And ntheir sins and iniquities I will remember no more.
vs. 18. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
HEBREWS 10 : 1- 39 [ BECAUSE THR OLD COVENANT WAS ONLY A SHADOW OF THE REALITIES OF THE NEW COVENANT COL. 2: 14-17 ]
vs. 1. For The law having a shadow of good things to come, and not of the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make comers thereunto perfect.
vs. 2. For then would they not have ceased to be offered ? Because that the worshippers once purged should have no more conscience of sins.
vs. 3. But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
vs. 4. For it is not possible that the blood of Bulls and of goats should take away sins.
vs. 5. [ Christ Abolished the Old Covenant Galatians 4: 21 ] Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou Prepared for me;

HEBREWS 9: 1-1- 28 [ The Old Covenant tabernacle was only typical of the new Covenant ]
Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.
vs. 2. for there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shew bread; which is called the sanctuary.
vs. 3. And after the second veil the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all.
vs. 4. Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant laid round the golden about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant.
vs. 5. And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercy seat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.
[ Because the Old Covenant restricted personal approach to God. the New covenant gives Full access to God always 10: 19-23 ]
vs. 6. Now these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.
vs. 7. But into the Second went the High Priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:
vs. 8. [ Old Covenant services could not cleanse even it's ministers 5: 1- 3; 7: 2-7 ]
The Holy ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest for all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
vs. 9. Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining........
HEBREWS 7: 1-28
Melchisedec was an earthly king-priest ( Gen. 14: 18-20 )
vs. 1. For this Melchisedec king of salem, priest of the most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him:
vs. 2. To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of Righteuosness, and after that also King of salem, which is, King of Peace.
[ Melchisedec's origin was not recorded (v. 6 ) so he could be a mere type of Christ's eternity ( Mic. 5:1-2; Jn. 1:1-2 )
vs.3. Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
vs. 4. Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriach Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
[ Melcjisedec was better than Abraham and Levi Gen. 14 : 18-20 ]
vs. 5. And verily they that are sons of Levi, who receive the office office of the priesthood, have commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham.

vs1. therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
vs. 2 Of the doctrine of the baprisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgement.
vs. 3. and this we will do if god permit.

HEBREWS CHAPTER 4 : 1 - 16
1. Exhortation to fear lest we should fail like Israel [ Romans 11: 17- 24; Gal. 3 : 7- 14 ]
2. Faith brings rest not the observance of some day. [ Romans 3: 1 -31; 4: 1-25; 5: 1- 11; Eph. 2: 8 - 9 ]
3. Character of God's rest: His work was finished, not because a certain day had come.
