AMONG THE MANY PROBLEMS WE FIND WITH GOVERNMENT OVERKILL AND CONTROL OF FAMILY LIVES IS THE MODERN DAY SCHOOL LUNCH. EVER SINCE MICHELLE OBAMA DEEMED HERSELF TO BE THE NUTRITION EXPERT FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN, COST OVERAGES AND LEVELS OF FOOD WASTE HAVE NEVER BEEN HIGHER. JUST THIS PAST WEEK IT WAS REPORTED THAT THE DEGREE IF FOOD BEING WASTED IS NOW APPROACHING SIXTY PERCENT, WITH HIGH SCHOOL KIDS REPORTING TOTAL DISSATISFACTION AND UNWILLINGNESS TO EAT THAT WHICH IS BEING PROVIDED AT SCHOOL. MANY KIDS COME HOME FROM SCHOOL STARVING WITH STORIES OF UNEDIBLE FOOD AND/OR TINY PORTIONS THAT WOULDN'T PLEASE ANY EATER.
GEE, I HAVE AN IDEA. WHY NOT LET PARENTS MAKE THE FINAL DETERMINATION OF WHAT THEIR CHILDREN SHOULD EAT AND ALSO BE INVOLVED IN DECISIONS ON MENU OFFERINGS. IT WORKED FOR GENERATIONS, BUT SOMEHOW GOVERNMENT THINKS THAT IT KNOWS BETTER, YET OBESITY LEVELS ARE HIGHER NOW THAN EVER. OF COURSE, MAYBE IF WE ALLOWED THE KIDS TO BURN OFF SOME STEAM ON THE PLAYGROUND INSTEAD OF CANCELLING RECESS WE COULD HAVE AN EASY SOLUTION.
MONDAY NIGHT AT 9 WE'LL TALK ABOUT THE EVER MORE ORWELLIAN GOVERNMENT SCHOOL RULES AND HOW TO STOP THE GROWING PROBLEM OF SCHOOL LUNCH STUPIDITY. MAMA, MAYBE IT'S JUST TIME TO START PACKIN'. YOUR KIDS ARE HUNGRY.
HOPE YOU'LL JOIN US; THIS IS TRULY AN AMERICAN LIFESTYLE ISSUE.

Follett Learning presents a very interesting show about E-commerce helping private /Parochial schools ?make it easier for parents to buy books while producing economic results for the schools. Bishop O'Dowd School in California is our special guest
ABOUT THE SHOW
It is a known fact the USA gets a big fat “F” for poor sex education in schools! Let’s face it, the CDC states that 1 out of every 4 new HIV infections reported is a young human life between the ages of 13 and 24! Regardless of your beliefs in sex education (abstinence only or more comprehensive approaches) this nation is facing a serious public health crisis and something has to be done about it! So we are bringing to you two amazing young high school leaders who are paving the way for HIV prevention and awareness in their high school! Attention school administrators and educators across the nation: you might just learn something and start an HIV Awareness Club in your school! We will talk about issues facing teens and we will offer some profound, successful solutions! So get ready! Pack your lunch (or in this case dinner) and join us on February 7, 2016 - 9 PM (EST) / 8 PM (CST), because we are all going back to school!
ABOUT OUR GUESTS
Ewuraba Annan and Jimmy Demiro are the co-Presidents of the Staten Island Technical High School HIV/AIDS Awareness Club! Under their dedicated leadership, the members of this club work to educate students about safer sex, while simultaneously working to eradicate HIV-related stigma! Every year they are tasked with bringing in speakers who are living with HIV to share personal experiences. These students, while on their way out to college to continue their mission to empower youth to make healthier life choices, will share their experiences as co-Presidents of their school’s HIV Awareness club, share their insight about what’s really happening “behind closed doors” and what they believe are the solutions needed to change the public health crisis of HIV.
